Yea but totals? I can only seem to find individual games stats (as opposed to the totals for the year). It would be some effort to add up every P/O for each game for every team and then compare and then do it for previous years
It would.

Ma'u was better than all those merkins up until this year. Even in 2015 when we only won nine games. In fact, Ma'u was going pretty well late in the season before he got injured.

Mau over Kikau or Frizel or Kafusi or Cordner. Geesh glad your not running our club.
Mau goes ok but not that style. Cooper was never in these guys class.

I didn't say better than Cordner. He also wasn't better than Tohu Harris at his best. Those two are the best. Most of the damaging ones you've mentioned are just middle forwards with some speed and footwork. They are all poor defenders. They also all play in better teams than Manu Ma'u so they get better opportunities to carry the ball.

The Cowboys won a premiership with Cooper and Lowe on the edges. Ma'u is as good as either of them, IMO. Just gets less support.

Yes but had morgan,thurston,coote.tamou,toumalolo,Scott. Give me those guys at their best and id settle of manu and tepai in 2nd row.
Otherwise I think an upgrade be good

We are so far away from any of these top 8 sides that it is almost offensive to compare ourselves to them.

Yes we had a shit year but only the Roosters and the second half against Souths did the the top 8 sides flogged us.

We were pretty competitive against them. We actually lost 5 times (I think)to top 8 sides where we scored the same amount of tries. Plus the poor form of our halves cost us any chance in the broncos / storm games.

An upgrade would always be good. I'm sure whoever wins the comp this year will still be hoping to improve the squad for next year.

But when you improve your team you need to take existing contracts into account. If you can't get rid of a player on a top 17 contract without paying too much freight then you need to hang onto him and play him in the top 17 until he's gone. Make it work Then use your cap space to replace guys you actually can get rid of, like the ones off contract.

We won only 6 games. The only reason Arthur and most of our underperforming players are still here is because we refuse to pay out their contracts or nobody will take them on.

Yeah on the whole it was quite a successful year.

That wasn’t the point of discussion! Just pointing out we were fairly competitive against the top 8 sides (and I am not saying we had a good year, it was shit terrible!!).
