Yes and the latest rumour is Liam Knight heading our way. Wtf! Raiders lost 2 front rowers and he is not even on their radar!!!! Another BA dud signing if happens which new coach will have to handle once he comes in.

Why is he a dud signing ? Do you think BA is looking at him as a top 17 player?

We already have middle forwards of Brown, mannah, paulo, Alvaro, peni, Evan, Kaufusi signed for next year and rumours of Gower staying (plus Moeroa, lane and Manu also able to play in the middle), so he isn’t coming as a top 17 player, he wouId be coming as a fringe player with potential.

Ok here is a question for you, who wouId you sign if we were looking for prop which will be our 6th to 8th ranked one?

Agreed. But - the BEST way to make improvements is to get players into the club that can do the job - but that seems to be way too hard financially and logistically.

It is easier to do that when your club is better managed.

Don’t we have enough fringe first graders??? We need some quality not more blokes who wouldn’t make the top 17 at any other club. Canberra lose both their front rowers and still happy to lose this bloke. And he has history of being a DH, he’ll be a great addition.

We have enough juniors to fill those spots, so why buy one who has shown nothing at the 2 clubs he has been with. They might turn out to be guns. I would have thought if you're going to buy players they'll improve your roster, not just make up the numbers.

I’d rather give the contract to a young bloke like Stefano, apparently he played Knight recently and gave him as good as he got at just 18.

Yeah Stefano is only 18 and will probably end up the better player at some stage, but in that game, Knight player 78 mins and made 190 m , Stefano played 32mins for 37m (he also missed 4 tackles compared to knights 1)

Knight is also averaging around 145m in NSW cup

While in his 9 or so NRL games this year he was averaging around 6 runs for 55m 14 tackles for 96% success rate (happy to be corrected if stats are wrong). While they don’t look that impressive at first, he actually wasn’t playing that many mins - it looked like he was only playing around 25 mins a game so they aren’t to bad.

Definitely potential there to be making 100-140 m a game plus 30 tackles in 45-50 mins.

So considering he is still a rookie with 10 games, plays prop (takes longer to develop) and is a big body which we need (194cm / 106 kg), it probably wouldn’t be a bad signing as a 6th to 8th rated prop.

There is potential there, I suspect he wouId be cheap and doubt he wouId cost a rookie / junior a spot either. Also it’s probably being a dickhead which has held him back.

Obviously Knight has had some off field issues (maybe lazy trainer, idiot.....) but the Roosters did sign him for 2017 on a 3 year contract, even after his drink driving charge and after he had only played 1 NRL game. So that’s a fair indicator Knight does have some potential.

Apart from Norman, Knight would obviously be the biggest dickhead in the club if we sign him. His level of dickheadness is so much worse than Terepo, Paulo, Manu and Williams ever were.
