Any marine biologist worth their salt would know you were referencing the Galapagos Islands tortoise. If we're talking turtles then reference the Mon Repos loggerhead turtle. They have a lifespan of around 60 years, hardly a chance of fossilisation to have occurred in this instance. The fossilised turtle should be given a one way ticket to the Galápagos Islands.
I hear Steve Murphy has extended for another 2 years.
Yeah, but I'm not worth my salt.Any marine biologist worth their salt would know you were referencing the Galapagos Islands tortoise. Nope. We were just shit all year. From the moment we let Penrith off the hook in round 1 we showed our true colours for 2018. We were all over the Panthers for much of the first half but as soon as they got a sniff, we folded like a portable picnic table. Manly has us beat after 15 minutes in round 2. We should have been in that game until half time but we all knew there was no return after the 20 minute mark. After that, we made up the numbers in the comp, and that was totally evident until the very last game. No reply when things got tough, poor attack and even worse defence for a whole season can't be attributed to those two games.Yes I agree!
I don't know if we have a 'good or bad culture' at the club. From (the veey limited) impression I got, the winds of change blew through with Foran leaving. Surprised at a few things this year, but none have been tolerated so I don't know what to make of all that?
I sometimes wonder if our back to back 40 degree games tp start the season pretty well killed us? Didn't both Pwnrith and Manly put in very flat results the following weeks?
(Blew it week 1. Drained from the heat and got belted week 2. Drained from the heat and lost week 3. Behind the 8 ball and playing catchup and then losing too many close games)
No idea? But is it plausible?

Maybe the culture review can improve Steve Murphy? That goes against the opportunity for a fresher approach, not encouraging as was hoping for new ideas among the assistants
If that's the case there's a lot of culturists on here.Culture is a convenient buzz word that people apply to a bunch of shit they don’t understand. I do it all the time at work.
Yep. As we all thought. Bloody players. All their fault. Oi vey. Get ready for more block plays. That confirms Normys and Moses eventual exit I guess.Maybe the culture review can improve Steve Murphy?
What's the saying "doing the same thing and expecting a different result, is the first sign of madness "Maybe the culture review can improve Steve Murphy?
What's the saying "doing the same thing and expecting a different result, is the first sign of madness "
Oh well, move on
Our attack has been junk for 5 seasons under this bloke, I'd like to say I'm shocked but nothing surprises me any more. What's the saying "doing the same thing and expecting a different result, is the first sign of madness "
Oh well, move on
And if you know anything about troubleshooting, it's that isolating a problem can only be done by changing one thing at a time. What's the saying "doing the same thing and expecting a different result, is the first sign of madness "
Oh well, move on
That's right. Proper analysis will tell us that flipping a coin results in heads half the time and tails the other half. Some of these dopes think that the result of a coin toss will be whatever it was last time they saw it done. This statement has flaws. Flip a coin. Tell me what you get. Do the same thing 10 times. Tell me what you get.
I always say edge because the one time it happens I’ll look like a wizardThis statement has flaws. Flip a coin. Tell me what you get. Do the same thing 10 times. Tell me what you get.
What you get is a 50/50 chance of flipping either heads or tails each time you flip it. If you do the same for another 10 times you get a 50/50 chance of flipping either heads or tails each time you flip it.This statement has flaws. Flip a coin. Tell me what you get. Do the same thing 10 times. Tell me what you get.
And we are targeted fairly/unfairly by the media for every action or indiscretionI am referring to culture at the whole joint, both on and off the field.
As far as the off field culture being shit some teams can probably get away with it more than others because they have strong leadership both on and off field. We don't.
Because we are a basket case who hire all the worst people? If that is in fact the case, why the hell did we contract a merkin to conduct the club’s review whose whole philosophy is essentially building and improving culture to improve performance?
