Yes the Thoroughbreds are 'independent' of the Broncos but somehow always seem to know when they need a TPA. Strange about that!

Or were Sharp & co worried about their jobs? Leadership like Politis shows that a poor club can become a successful club.

Something needs to change, we have little TPAs and are/were under-resourced and funded but continued to lose $10-12m per year. How is that even possible? And our on field results have been deplorable for the majority of the time. Over the last 10 years Parra have won 3 spoons and been to 1 grand final and almost no other finals matches. Not a good result for spending over $20m a year is it?

Black Citrus and Scorecube definitely owned and run by Stephen Moss, not Obeid's son... anyway.

Something does need to change but change takes time and unfortunately the level of change required at the Eels means that it won't happen as quickly as we fans would all like and we will probably vote the Board out or storm the club demanding BA gets sacked before the change happens.

Unless the rule has changed (and it might have), there is nothing stopping a club putting a player in contact with a potential TPA sponsor. The club just can't have anything to do with the negotiation of that contract. It might be a stupid rule.

A casual reader of these forums might be lead to believe that Bernie and Max are worse at their jobs than Osborne and Sharp.

It’s a stupid rule because some clubs have a reputation for their TPA providers always coming through, while others are legit and have the same chance of not working out as any other financial negotiation.

And when they don’t work out, entitled little merkins like Peats who are used to receiving their TPA money for zero effort blame the club and refuse to play until they get the cash they were ‘promised’ (at arms’ length of course).

At the time we were desperate to pay merkins outside the cap. You think the recent grand finalists don’t do it? We were top four when we got outed by whistle-blowers.
