You forget that the problem at the Dogs were backended contracts. So whilst a player might have been worth $500k his backended contract value for 2019 was $800k.

When contract is finished its over. Morris x 2 and Eastwood who contract apparently backended is now finished.
Sure they are more then likely chipping in for Mbye and Woods. But I highly doubt they are paying 500k each or anthing silly like that. Id imagine they paid a fair chunk for this year and perhaps the 200k each at most for each.

I think its only for next year unless they have upgraded it. I spoke to him mid year and he said he was here for next year. Some of the coaching staff I've spoken to recently expect him to be up near the front in preseason training so he's definitely here

Again I don't beleive MJ is on 800k. And if is could we find as a good replacement for 400k if we chipped that much in? More then likely yes.But not a whole lot better. Id roll dice and keep MJ if its costing us 400k

Those sites don't have inside info. They are just going off the fact there has never been a signing/re-signing announcement from the club about Reed Mahoney, just as there has been no announcement about Lane, Terepo, Niukore, Gennings, Pritchard, Gower or anyone under 22 (apart from Salmon).

Confirmed signings are Paulo and Ferguson. The only confirmed re-signings are Alvaro and Brown.

Yes but there is such a thing a repudiation of contract. So if a party is seamingly playing hardball to enforce a contract, they can hardly be seen to be looking to break the deal themselves. So whilst managers may very well be negotiating in the background, publicly the club must seem steadfast.
