Mahoney.
Brown.
Salmon.
Stone.
Kaufusi.
Niukore.
French.
Stefano.
Leleisiuao.
Moeroa.

All ‘youngsters’ who are part of our top 30, with most likely to get plenty of game time next season. I don’t see how BA hasn’t had an eye on the future when you take this into account.
He has also ‘taken a risk’ by signing Davey to a top 30 spot.

@lingard, I get you’re frustrated at the team’s performances. We all are. I just don’t understand your arguments and reasoning here. I can understand an argument that BA might just be a shit coach, but not that he has no youth in the team.

There there. If that does happen, you can comfort yourself with the knowledge that all the deathriders who currently want him sacked or flogged or killed or whatever will be in here screeching about how we let him go.
Ivor will be all over that shit

I think we've missed the boat (again). If we had sacked Arthur this season and signed Michael Maguire (a known rebuilding coach) he would have had time to try a few youngsters this year, and with so many players off contract, he could have spent the year looking around for players for next year and had a head start in shaping the sort of team he wanted. As it stands, we have BA who is all but dead and buried, and next year's coach will have to start from scratch. I actually hope Arthur doesn't sign anyone else next year. He needs to leave that up to the next coach.
We have a head of football exactly so we don't have to start over if we replace the coach.

And if it doesn’t happen it will only be because the coach finally put in because he had a contract to work for.

The general consensus is that BA has not delivered and hasn’t been held accountable for our shit performances but now that it appears he will be in 2019 we have a problem with that as well.

F**k me, it must be the off season.

He needs to make adjustments. Untill 2018 he never had too. So 2019 is the acid test.
It would be hard to make changes when 2017 was such a sucess and go away from it completely.

Tbis is reality of BA

2014 -Did well, took team to almost a top 8 spot. - 7/10

2015- Operated about 1 mill under cap when Hayne split late in year. Hard to judge the season based on that. I will give a 5/10

2016 - Would of made finals had not been stripped and that was whilst losing Jnr,Peats,Foran. Team stayed motivated. 8/10

2017 - Made top 4 and played some great footy . 8/10

2018 - Disaster. Close losses, poor goal kicking, lots on injuries. Plenty of excuses to be fair why things went wrong. 3/10. Had no injuries id say team at full strength played at a level of 7/10.

7+5+8+8+3 =
31/50

Perhaps if things went right that where out of his contorl he gets another 4-5 points.
But overall his performances are around 6/10. I still think BA has learnt enough and turns the fortunes around in 2019. I might be wrong but it is rare I am.
I expect to see a focused, agressive and extremely motivated team who play with stacks of energy. And people on here and people in the game in general will be applauding getting rid of guys like Norman and Hayne.
