Nah, mate, same bloke. Last season really killed me. Not sure why. I also had a lot of negative shit happening in my life - work, a wayward son, etc. I went way over the top with criticism of the coach, the club, other things. I do that sometimes. But things have settled down now. I've settled down. And I'm actually fairly hopeful for this year.
Hang on a minute! I've just found a mobile device in the garbage bin. Wonder if it's got someone else's user name on it …….?

That’s great to hear that things are better. I haven’t been able to be on here much for a while but i definitely noticed a sharp change in your temperament and you were doing out of character things.

I’m never hopeful with the Eels, they’ve trained me well so when we get some success it is a pleasant surprise.

Our attack sounded pretty bad but my greatest concern last night was the apparent ease with which Souths ran in trys on the edges. Id hate to think this wasnt the major focus during pre season.

The kid from all reports has a great attitude which is very important.

Whatever happened to Troy Dargan?

Edit: went to broncos and playing QLD Cup. Another overhyped junior?

The Broncos re-signed him.

I was there last night, when Terepo and the 3 young guns were on the field ( Stefano, Oregan and Salesi), the forwards consistently got to decent field position. Unfortunately they had no one organising once the ball left the dummy half in Schneider.

Being a Wenty part timer , the 7 was targetted all day and likewise Salmon didn't do much, and with French and Evans losing the ball at crucial times coming out of our 20 ,they we able to come down our right hand side to score. It was almost like a soccer game, where one side has good possession but the other team score on breakaways. Parry was the star in the backline, GL was better than expected but still managed to lose possession by dropping the ball at the 25 metre line after making a terrific in goal catch .

I find it more startling that nobody wanted French.
How so? His post-injury form is much lower than when we extended his contract. I’m sure every club sees an opportunity, but we won’t want to pay too much for him to play elsewhere, and the player will be reluctant to take a pay cut.

Did you see our edge defenders?

Left:
Leleisiuao
Parry
Salmon
Davey

Right:
Dunster
Hoffman
Davies
Faingaa

I might have some of them on the wrong sides but you get the idea. Only one bloke with a full season of first grade experience. Three of them are still eligible for Flegg.

Why do you assume he has to take a paycut? How much is he on? You don't know. You are guessing as we all do.

Ta DB. I believe he knocked on attempting the 20m restart. Enthusiasm I suppose but unforgivable nonetheless.

I do get your point but is sounded suspiciously akin to our usual defensive errors.

Every team conceded most of their tries on the edges. Fans of every other club also piss and moan about wingers coming out of the line.

Once there’s an overlap the defenders just have to make a decision. Sliding on your line doesn’t work. The alternative is trying to disrupt the play. Good playmakers expose this more often than bad ones but it’s always exposed at least some of the time.

Ponga, Haas and Hastings all say Hi. Rookies with big potential are a risk, but also an opportunity. They cost more than rookies who might be the next Dave Gower.
