Just read an atricle in todays DT quoting Michael Ennis. Said basically hes a fan of Mahoney and likes what he offers. Is expecting a big 2019 from him. He further said he watched Mahoney train last week. Has BA got specialist coaches involved? Would be fantastic if he did.

I agree about Mahoney, I think he will develop into a very good player. He is a merkin and merkinism gets you everywhere baby.

If French leaves we do. Sivo is coming off a shoulder reconstruction and Gennings /Ferguson are first choice but we are still skinny outwide and are lacking experience in the centres especially if Mennings goes down or stays shit.

No, we already have enough wingers and don’t need another that wants ,according to rumours $350k or so.

Apparently Parry was fairly impressive on Thursday so we could be a mid season smokie. Plus we already have Gennings, the Fijian dude, GL and Hoffman in the squad (in addition to Ferguson) and potentially Dunster too.

So we already have 7 wingers in the squad, 2 starters and 3 more in the squad and 2 more on potentially development contracts.

I reckon that’s enough and a waste of a squad spot on another winger.

Most expect Salmon to be suspended. Some also keep forgetting this. Those that don't expect Taka to run on a centre in R1 whether we like it or not.

I think it depends on if he can play centre, and by that I mean a genuine NRL level centre because he is reportedly wanting quite a hefty pay packet and I don’t think value wise he is that much better than George at wing, and certainly not worth having both of them on books at that much. Perhaps as the season gets closer, he’ll realise his demands are ridiculous plus with the familial connections perhaps we can grab him at a good price. But still I think it comes down to whether he’d be a starting centre (or George I suppose), because it’s not like he’d suddenly make us a good team, so we’d be better off using the season to trial the likes of Sivo, Parry, Louganis, etc
