Sometimes I’m even pissed enough to watch the Eels play footy. That's nothing. You wait until @hineyrulz has had a skinful...
I took a wrong turn, I'm now at The Norman.Quick Eelo, lets go back to Chardon's Corner....
FFS f**kEN!!Quick Eelo, lets go back to Chardon's Corner....
Dylan Brown has played on TV at least four times. But is that enough times to really know his potential? We've all seen juniors capable of carving up but who never even made junior rep teams much less became first graders. Far more reliable (though obviously no guarantee of future outcomes) is looking at when he hit his benchmarks.
Dylan Brown played SG Ball at 16 (and won the comp), NYC at 17 (and played in a grand final), reserve grade at 18. Plus he's been picked in every rep team he was eligible for. Now it looks like he could play first grade before his 19th birthday in June. These are very early benchmarks for a player, and far more telling than the opinions of a couple of nuffies watching at Ringrose or on telly.
I saw Brown play under 20s and reserve grade and while he was good he never stood out. But the reason for this is because he was usually the youngest player on the field. I don't expect him to seem very impressive this year either. He is turning 19 ffs. That's the impressive bit. Like Nathan Cleary's first couple of seasons in the NRL. He's done nothing special as a playmaker, always playing second fiddle to someone better, but it's been super impressive because of his youth. Solid defence and goalkicking increase his value. I'm expecting similar from Brown, minus the goalkicking.
I would feel the same even if I'd never seen him play.
Gonna be hard to captain us when he's playing for the Warriors 5 years from now.... Coach Griffin has already given him permission to leave for season 2020 if he gets an offer.....
Bring your passport.Actually, I haven't spent any time on the south bank, yet. I've been meaning to get there and have a look around.
Just read an atricle in todays DT quoting Michael Ennis. Said basically hes a fan of Mahoney and likes what he offers. Is expecting a big 2019 from him. He further said he watched Mahoney train last week. Has BA got specialist coaches involved? Would be fantastic if he did.
Didn’t we have a few forwards unavailable at the start of last year?
Plow inn it is.Actually, I haven't spent any time on the south bank, yet. I've been meaning to get there and have a look around.
Edwards was picked in jersey 19. He was available.Kenny Edwards was 'unavailable' because BA picked Evans ahead of him.
You set it up.Plow inn it is.
I’m already here, looks like it’s up to you to get Guts. You set it up.
I'm off to a dinner party. You set it up for another time...........I'll be there.I’m already here, looks like it’s up to you to get Guts.
So he's bad enough to play for the roosters but not good enough to play for Parramatta?
