I was hoping we would sign Brown when he came off contract with the Tigers back in 2014, I don't know if we have signed him or not but I would love to see him at Parra. Just the sort of prop we need, tough with ball skills and works hard in defence.

I think he's also about to hit that age and experience level where front rowers tend to start to play their best football.

The same goes for Vave in many respects.

I reckon Vave is already at his peak. Not to say he's about to decline - he is only 27 - but he has been a full time footballer for at least six years.

Nathan Brown should still have a fair bit of improvement left in him.

And both have low count syllable names.

No I am not interested in debating you. I think you are completely wrong and for you to disregard the opinions of two great five eights, the two current SOO coaches suggests you don't care how wrong you are, you will call everyone else wrong who does not agree with you, including the two, and I say it again, current SOO coaches and both great five eights.
Looks like I debated it anyway. I will leave it there.

If Daley and Walters were good coaches they'd be coaching a first grade team. There's no real coaching in SOO.

I didn't watch the program but I'm going to assume they were pandering to their audience. Look at the team's that both went with in Origin this year. Thurston @ 6 for QLD and Moylan and Maloney @ 6 for NSW. Is Thurston what you would consider a running five-eighth? I wouldn't, he's a half. And whilst Moylan is supposedly a fullback, in Origin 3 he only took on the line 5 times across the 80 minutes. That isn't a "running" 5/8. Do you think Maloney is a running 5/8? I certainly don't, much like Thurston he's a half. In the modern game your halves (both of them) need to be able to run, pass and kick. It doesn't matter if they're a halfback or 5/8.

So yeah you can have a cry and say you won't debate and say that I don't listen to other people's opinion but you're doing exactly the same thing.

And for the future if you don't want to debate soemthing don't post something on the world wide web.

So are all of 47's post just saying i am awesome and you all are dumb shits or is it just me. If that is the case sorry mate you are too late, that position was filled a long time ago by Pou and at least he doesn't take himself so seriously

Pretty much, but at least Pou actually tries to present evidence, even if he skews it to suit his own argument. 47s only evidence is that he's read every RLW magazine since 1983 or something

I wouldn't say costly at all.he supposedly signed for $450,000 due to needing to be closer to Westmead hospital for his young bloke.been a great investment

No I was purely referring to him hammering Watmough's knee. Beau Scott has been an incredible buy for us. I think a lot of the toughness our team has displayed this season, is down to him.

The Parramatta Eels have today announced the re-signing of Isaac De Gois for a further two years until the end of the 2018 season.

Isaac joined the Eels midway through 2014 and brings over 223 games worth of NRL experience. Isaac has been a key contributor to the team and will play his 50th game for the Club on Monday night.

Head Coach Brad Arthur said the retention of Isaac would strengthen the Parramatta roster. It also allows Isaac to continue his valuable mentoring role to younger members of the squad, such as Kaysa Pritchard.

“Isaac has been a key leader for our team this season and I am pleased that he will be remaining with our squad until the end of 2018,” Arthur said.

“With the retention of a number of players for 2017 our squad is shaping up well for next season."

Isaac is the fourth re-signing this week for the Eels following on from Corey Norman, Danny Wicks and Kenny Edwards.

Interested to see Sam Williams go around for Canberra today.

Christ I hope we stay away. I've never really rated him, today has reminded me why. He's been absolutely destroyed defensively and offered nothing in attack.

Vave has been good, 100m and 20 tackles from the bench
