Well tbh if you want to play at that, your post is irrelevant because I said exactly that lmao

Once again, the discussion came up as a result of a known simpleton saying that our pack was out muscled by a smaller one!

Everything else others have brought up is a distraction.
It's an Eels forum. It's not like any of us could assemble a working rocket.

Being outsmarted is not the same as being outmuscled.

I suppose you could outsmart someone by using muscle, but that’s not really what happened in this instance.

Haha! Isn't that the point of out-muscling a team? More metres gained with quick play the balls and dominating possession through intimidation is out-muscling a team IMO.
But that's not where possession comes from. It's the spine that has the biggest say in how much possession the team gets.

Dominance (out-muscling) usually comes from possession and vice versa. Usually, when an ill-disciplined team gets worn down without the ball they start to do risky plays.
Whether or not a team makes risky plays comes down to direction and leadership. Gallen made it clear after they narrowly beat us recently. He said we came out and bashed them but they took their licks and refused to go away from the game plan. Even though they weren't making metres.

Teams with less less experience panic when they're not going forward and make dumb mistakes. Then possession goes against them and they fatigue and it gets harder in defence.
