So would Jason’s wife.I’d probably pick ET over Jason

He won’t be worth any more. Why would a player be worth more money when he’s unavailable for some games?
There are players worth less than Gutherson who get picked for a Origin, and players worth more who don’t. Whether they get picked is partially based on their ability, which determines value. But getting picked doesn’t mean their ability increased. It may just mean an incumbent was unavailable. Why should a player’s value increase just because a player at another club was injured or suspended at Origin time?
Maybe they might buy Izzy Folau. That would be quite a back 3.My concern over Gutho is if they do not sign him, who replaces him next year? We may go for a Teddy calibre player for 1mil but our likelihood of getting that strike player isnt great. We are not going to get another player for 650/700 that brings as much professionalism, reliability and obviously not a new captain.
Just get the f**king deal done and move on.
Actually that’s not a bad pointIf we dont buy a player by June 30 then we will still have money remaining to be spent before seasons end (700k?). Maybe thats when the deal will be done.
If we’re giving long contracts to injury-prone players we won’t be winning grand finals anyway.Or if he doesn't sign, we will see that a reasonable request of 4 years instead of 3, was ignored and he was lost to another club and now we have no high quality fullback and it will take at least 2 or 3 years to sort out if we are lucky.
I know you love mediocrity Pou, but Bevan French will not be our fullback if we ever win a GF again.
Seeing as though we have recruited McIlwrick and Rhys Davies has been brought into the top 30, do we have any remaining spots?Actually that’s not a bad point
But he hasn’t lost ability.Waqa Blake has done SFA this year.
We don’t need a fullback worth $700k. Souths, Melbourne and Canberra are doing fine without one.My concern over Gutho is if they do not sign him, who replaces him next year? Kaysa retired yet? Players could retire/be cut. Not saying it’s wright or rong but it’s certainly a pointSeeing as though we have recruited McIlwrick and Rhys Davies has been brought into the top 30, do we have any remaining spots?

Davies wouldn’t be top 30. The club made no official announcement. If he’s now training full time he’d be on a development contract.Seeing as though we have recruited McIlwrick and Rhys Davies has been brought into the top 30, do we have any remaining spots?
I said former Dally M winger Hayne would be a good replacement for Radradra.“We don’t need a replacement for Semi”
- Pou circa 2018
Possibly. I was just going off some posts on here.Davies wouldn’t be top 30. The club made no official announcement. If he’s now training full time he’d be on a development contract.
Although not confirmed my mail is that Davies has possibly been signed into the top 30. Although listed as a half, he can cover a number of positions and is a goal kicker so good to have some additional coverage for Moses and Drown/Salmon.
“We don’t need Hayne” - Pou (unverified) circa 2017I said former Dally M winger Hayne would be a good replacement for Radradra.
We won 40% with Hayne on the wing, compared to 21% otherwise.
We were talking about form players and Penrith111 through Blake's name in the hat.But he hasn’t lost ability.
He certainly didn’t think it threwWe were talking about form players and Penrith111 through Blake's name in the hat.
