With one arm tied behind his back

Why should we have a better squad after six years? Do we have more TPAs now than we did six years ago?

I'm not the one who magically thinks a squad should improve every single year. I would expect us to win about half our games, with this reversion to mean more likely over

That's loser talk. Nothing but excuses.

It felt like last year when the refs were going crazy with penalties. We could not find our rhythm. Could not handle their line speed. We were either trying to attack without space or defending on our heels.

Moses was (mostly) our sole kick option and it was easy to pressure him.

I have been saying it for weeks about Moses, he is the easy punching bag but he is our sole attacking option and our sole kicking option, of course teams are going to target him, how f**king easy is your job when the only thing you have is to target one player?

The rest of the team aren’t backing him up!!

Yep but who is the appropriate foil ? Dylan was great and we have struggled ever since.

Experienced leaders is what we need. Very hard to find and purchase and not many off contract. At the moment we got a number of mid tier motivators running in different directions not knowing how to execute plan b when plan a is a disaster

I thought Salmon did ok? Just wash the Melbourne game from memory, and he at least was offering something in attack.

In the games he played in the halves we are 3 wins 3 losses, 131 points scored, 147 against (which includes the record drubbing at the hands of Melbourne).

I cannot fathom why Will Smith is in the top 30 of any NRL club? We'd be better off playing Taka at 5/8 or Salmon at hooker or Hoffman at fullback OR French in any of those positions. There really isn't a need that Smith fills, he is just dreadful. Not backup quality and we'll struggle to score points with him in the halves.

It’s simple, we need D Brown back. The kid oozed class. I agree there’s no point rushing him back when he has such a big future ahead of him but our backline will be plenty better when he’s back in it.

That hooker who's been playing 6 for Wenty offers more than Will Smith.

It’s easy to say that we should make massive changes. Gutho at centre will only mean that he sees the ball less. Mennings will be back next week. Hoffman is a fine fill-in.

It wasn’t the backs that let us down (apart from the 50 dropped balls). It was the failure to control the ruck. Slow play the balls and only one real tackle 5 kick option.

True.
Bevan bring some unpredictability to the side however. So when your not clicking he can provide a spark.
Anyhows I have a feeling we will turn it around next week.

If he isn’t going to put Salmon back at 6 then i would personally give French a crack at fullback and move Gutho to 6 until Brown comes back or we realise it’s a lost year and we focus on next year and better recruitment and staff changes.

Nathan Brown is a big miss as well so far this year.

Brings that intensity and borderline lunacy. Seems to be the guy who will take the 'tough rucks' when we're struggling for momentum.

The only way that French will get a gig is if Gutho takes over 6 for a while, Hoffman is needed in the centres and then he can play 1. Otherwise, Hoff is a better option for the fullback gig. DWZ would be handy right now.

If we don't the board will look like bigger donkeys for re-signing a coach and reneging on the deal to commit to a coach before June.

And why may I ask?

To appease Gutherson, Paul Crawley, Paul Kent and Rothfield?

We are so f**king dumb. The dumbest, softest club in the NRL with a pussy mentality and every other club knows.

Whats the go with Bevan? Why cant he get a run? Also was your interest in Dallin just as a fall back if Gutho left?

Wouldn't mind swapping Dallin for Bevan, he is the type of back we could use atm.

You'd have the think that a DWZ / French swap is not actually far off the money.

In place of whom? He wouldn't be much of an upgrade on Edwards, and I think everyone agrees he's not big enough to play on the wing.
