Plenty of forwards his age offer less than that and still have NRL contracts. He obviously hasn't remained an edge player since his debut in 2015, and this year has declined significantly. But unless this year's form is the new normal he'll still be a first grader, and only 24 at season's end.I’d say that NRL clubs are more concerned with the fact that since he debuted in 2014 he has achieved a total of 9 line breaks, 30 offloads and an average of 78.5 metres per game.
He got a decent contract because he was pushing out similar numbers as a 19 year old and everyone thought he would improve. He’s now 23 and hasn’t progressed.
