2018 was the surprise for mine. 2017 was a natural extension of 2016 and 2019 flowed well from 2017 if you ignore the outlier in 2018.

I would be. Obviously I'd be happier with top four.

I predicted 2018. I mentioned how we won like 7/8 of our flip of coin games. And where lucky with a softer draw and schedule.

2019 suprised me. After the loss of Hayne who was pur best attacking threat along with Norman I didn't think we would be in the top 8. Excellent effort.

2020 I see a genuine top 4 side. That is my issue

On Panthers I see a very ordinary looking side that may suprise. A lot depends on the kids like Nathan,Burton etc.....

I think it's no coincidence that we improved so much with Hayne and Norman gone. One of the problems of 2018 was a critical mass of negative influences.

Well, if we make the Top 4 by winning 1 more home game then even if we lose that game our next two games are Bankwest (win because it's a home game) and ANZ (pretty much a home game for us).

So, that's not a bad theory.

I'd certainly be happy with making the finals, but not if we are battling for eighth spot and just scrape in. 'Cause that'd really be a backwards step, but a solid sixth or better I'd see as an improvement on account of it reflecting a bit more consistency.

I'm not sure that we will be that much better in 2020 than in 2019, because the only real change in the squad for mine is that we have more experience, recruitment wise, Matterson's a plus, but he's replacing Mau', who i think was still very good in 2019, and RCG could end up anything from an inspired and astute signing down to simply adding decent depth to our pack.

If the forwards can lay the platform

, we seriously have an unrivaled backline. I can't think of another club who can top Gutho, Fergo, Waqo, Jenko, Sivo, Dylbo and Moseo.
