Why are they both called a mile?
A nautical mile is a unit of measurement used in both air and marine navigation, and for the definition of territorial waters. Historically, it was defined as one minute (160 of a degree) of latitude along any line of longitude. Today the international nautical mile is defined as exactly 1852 metres (about 1.15 miles).

So call it a mile X 1.15. Or a flobnegurk.

I guess this season will be defining for a few middle players as we seem to have some decent young middle players so we need to decide who to keep and who makes room for the young players

Brown over rated? You got to be f**king kidding me I reckon he is under rated by most if anything.

If he ends up with the ball each 4th tackle its because that's what BA wants him to be doing! Its not as if he successfully overcalls the coach and both halves each 4th tackle by some cunning plan...

I think you are pretty hard judges... I'd shudder to see some of our previous years results if he wasn't the first mad merkin into a tackle trying to bash people most games.
The day he does something on the 4th tackle besides a settler is the day I’ll accept him as an attacking player. He is a handbrake in attack and his stats hide the real story. He is our version of Paul Gallen.

He is very good at smashing first receivers and often sets the tone for a big defensive set.

Sets up a quick play the ball?
Unfortunately we don't do quick PTBs. Something BA seems to have forgotten about which should be part of our attacking arsenal.

Unfortunately, looking at Bega trial, we still get off tackled players too quickly thus letting them win the ruck. Obviously BA doesn't want to give penalties away but how hard is it to get an arm or leg tangled up in a tackled player? Melbourne do it all the time and Cam Smith literally goes to sleep on a tackled player with impunity. That is something we need to train for.

But it’s not an absolute, the player might play it ridiculously quickly, but if he isn’t forcing the defence line back then it’s not necessarily better
Sorry can't have a ridiculously quick PTB otherwise get penalised. Just ask Moses who was penalised for such during Broncos game I think.
