Is he though? Maybe a better winger than any position Billy Smith can play but I don’t think Rankin is a modern day winger either. Reckon that’s a case of grass is greener.
I think his signing was “we need a 30th, he’s probably on minimum, is versatile and has experience” choice but I don’t see him factoring into plans whatsoever nor having an NRL contract with us next year. Unless he proves he is better than Smith and remains on minimum. But Billy Smith unfortunately at the very least is likely a better hooker than Rankin.

Well we need a hooker more than any position Rankin can play. And there’s a reason he was playing in SL.
Although if he is out wide, he’ll have less chance to f**k us the Smith in the middle will

Field is on a serious enough contract that he's leapfrogged plenty of merkins into our top 21 this week.
