You reckon Scum thought/decided Roberts was worth gambling to the extent of him being (paid) a starter like you said Lafai would in our team? And subsequently we have decided he is not:

And my point (Pou, not Gronk) was you can’t use someone’s wildly varying win rate as a marker of whether you should sign them. And even if you did, surely the more recent rate is a better indicator.
The more recent win rate is an indicator of the quality of their team. The quality of the player is measured over his career. He is obviously at a low point right now, but given his age it's nothing that can't be turned around.

So he is at a low point and it wasn’t just the shitness of the team he was in?

They would've been creating cap space, not discarding him because he's not good enough. He's not even 30 and he's won 88 NRL games. No chance we'd get him outside the top 30. He would start in our team for sure.

The Parramatta Eels have signed former Bulldogs and Dragons centre Tim Lafai to a part-time Canterbury Cup NSW contract.

The deal means Lafai is not currently in the Eels' top 30 squad but could potentially be included in the first-grade side later in the season.

He would be the best back up centre or one of in the comp. He would also pote talk be as good or better then Opacic who would then be the best back up or one of in the comp.
This is wild.

He isn't even in the top 30. He will be in the Parra Eels NSW cup side. That is a solid player for that level. Kind of hard to complain. If he is killing it he may get a call up. Otherwise he makes our NSW cup side stronger which will be good for the rest of that side.

We do have open top 30 spots .... lets pray no one wants to use one on him

I don't think so. At 29 years of age he hasn't lost ability. He certainly hasn't lost experience, which is what we're lacking in our backline.
You’re the one tying his ability to his win rate. His win rate has gone down therefore his ability must have gone down too.

If he gets fit he'll walk into our top 30. We didn't rush him into this trial squad for nothing.

Well let's hope he gets fit and his win rate goes back up. He's too young to have lost ability. He's either injured or had a mental health episode. He was solid in his seven games in 2020. There's been no loss of ability, and he is still more experienced than everyone in our squad other than Ferguson.
