Dunster has got liability against decent teams written all over him.

We can't go into a final series with him on the wing.

If we're not going to play Fergo, then who are we looking at going forward?

Surely we can sort someone out over the next couple of weeks that we can use going forward for the remainder of the season and next.

Who are the realistic options? It's not as they will need to move far this season.

Do you think Haze has peaked after 8 NRL games?

I agree he went OK last night, and also went OK against the three other bottom 6 sides. But he's going to be a liability against the Top 6 sides.
So you don’t support the view that Fergo was making poor decisions in his last two games (Manly and Souths) and deserved to be dropped ?

If your going to play Waqa blake he needs to be on the wing he cant pass to his outside anyway. Its why he always cuts back in

Fergo is done. And now with no NSW cup it will be hard for anyone to get in the side.
If we are smart we would loan 4 or 5 of to a side that is playing Manly

Fergo turns like an old horse. His acceleration is gone and body movement. Yes he carts it up in a straight line better. But he is cooked.

I'm warming to Dunster. Not many players could score a try like he did against Tits, he has good hands and turns much much quicker and chases ball kicked thru better than Fergo. Other than lack of size he compares well to Fergo imo and costs probably a third.

Would Jayden Olonbur be a good project player?

Dogs have

Allen,Naden,Cotric,JAC,Shcoup,M.Dufty.....
Amoti who has huge wraps and plays centre.
That's 7 already. Could add Aravilo if Flannagan is in the halves....

Cant see the new Brisbane side starting until 2024 at the earliest after whats happened this year.

That means Bennett has no job for 2 seasons unless he takes over QLD origin.

In saying that - i dont want him at our club. In the last decades he's only performed when he has a team of stars. He screwed the Knights, and was poor in his second stint at the broncos when their squad wasn't great. Then you consider the fact he cant lift the Rabbits which is full of stars to win a prelim.

I think Bennett would be great if he were to be brought on for a year or two as he was with the NZ team. We don't really need him as a head coach we have a decent one albeit with some limitations. Bennett would then be the man that can see and react to those limitations. He would also see and maybe recommend if we need any changes or improvements in our assistant coaching ranks. He needs a year or two to fill till his possible next coaching gig starts in Brisbane. This would give him the perfect opportunity to fill his time in and not get idle without the full on pressure it is to be a head coach.

Not being the head coach would also stop him from ignoring our junior development pathways as he has been known to do. All we would want and need from him is his wise man tutelage and guidance and how to prepare the team for games and the confidence that he brings to every team that he is associated with. He knows how to get rid of "noise" in players heads or around a team, which is crucial especially in the big games.

He probably will also notice our limitation with the ball in hand and recommend changes to style, processes or staff. I don't believe a coach like him would put up with the type of play we produce most weeks with the calibre of players we have for to long. He would find a way to bring out the best of their abilities and talent, something that the current coaching is struggling at. My only fear in this plan would be that at the end of it he might poach a player or two to take with him at his new digs.

Dunster was awsome last night. Did we watch a different game last night ?
Whilst I agree, our boys were flattered by The Tits defence. It was atrocious from the very first set both in first contact and allowing quick ptb's. Every player made post contact meters. Daze included. Hopefully it gave him confidence because The Pennys and Storm will not allow such latitude. We looked world beaters in that first half. It was pretty exciting.
How much are they paying Fifita?

We already played Penrith (them without their 7, us without our 9), and the Storm, and we played well in both games, imo.

This team has a lot of improvement left in it.

I agree. Since the backline revolution (evolution) our D is much more composed. Im looking forward to playing The Bunnys to see if its a false dawn but I dont think so.
Id love to see some specialised coaching put into Waqa. He has a huge upside if he can be taught draw and pass etc. I just love Oppy. I honestly prefer him to Mennings. Hes all heart. Along with Ice, they have been massive signings.
Id also love to see Gutho use more options than that cut out pass to Sivo and whilst on Sivo. Run hard you f'n slacker. He could do so much more. Hes been in the 1s long enough. We need more. Much more.
