Nathan Brown and Ryan Matterson should be tapped on the shoulder and shown the door and a player like Luke Thompson bought in.

When I look at a player like Marata and Papa they make those two overrated powder puffs seem pedestrian. Everytime I see Nathan Brown do those ineffective runs on tackle 4 I scream at the TV. Seriously who does he think he's kidding? And for a player of Matterson's size to have such little impact against the big guns shows how overrated he is. That's why he is never in the mix for a serious shot at SOO. The experts know as they do on the regression of Nathan Brown which is why he didn't get a look in this season.

Another argument can be made for Gutherson who also has had his most lean season for us since he got here. And Dylan Brown having one try assist all season at 6 shows how inept the coaching is at our club. Give him a go at fullback or allow him to leave so that his obvious talent isn't wasted with our stale coaching.

Despite our position on the ladder currently, we aren't within cooey of the top teams, and after 8 years of the same head coach a healthy financial situation, the largest membership in the League and 3-4 years with stable management, it's just not good enough.

This season in particular, a club like the Roosters have shown us how it's done properly, both on and off the field. The adversity they have faced this year is beyond belief, yet, they are still a better proposition to win the comp then we are. It's shameful from our side. And, week after week we continue to slide downhill, and it ain't going to get any better in the upcoming weeks. We're toast this season.

Yep it’s glaringly obvious, and sadly the gap is getting wider. This year will prove to be a good one for the Roosters it’s shown what a tough, resilient well drilled team they are while blooding some excellent young players who will be winning them big games in the seasons ahead.

I’d be even happy to give Carr the Keys next season and go all out for Robbo. He played for us and leading us to a title will confirm his greatness as a head coach. We have to go for the best otherwise what is the f**king point of it all?? Pou will tell us all otherwise of course.

And the other thing, which Gould mentioned last night, we are so used to bash and barge on not using the ball that the players aren't ready for flamboyance. The sivo try last night. Blake and sivo had already clocked off and when Bryce can back to their side, luckily they reacted in time.

Same last week, balls were popped out or passed and the players weren't expecting it. They expected just another hit up so never expected the ball to come out.

They are so used to bash, barge, settle that they aren't second natured in expecting something else.

We are leading the NRL for offloads for a third straight year. They are surely used to it.

No arguments from me on this. I've endured (like most others) the shitfest that is our club when it comes to footy since '86. In house squabbling, cheating, seasons that weren't good enough, choke fests, excuses. While I'll always be an Eels supporter until the day I croak it (not too far away), I've become used to where our team lies in the NRL scheme of things.

Pou has already said we can't afford the best. So, that's it then.

The last time I felt like this about a coach was when Brian Smith was in charge. I really liked him, but his time had come and gone. It was time for a change and I was glad to see the back of him in the end. It is the same now.

Watching the shite we have dished up for many weeks now (not just the last 2 weeks), it's clear that whatever is happening, it just isn't gelling and we aren't moving forward with promise and prospects of improving and becoming a contender. It's the same old, same old, year after year.

f**k, we really should be the biggest club in the NRL. We have so much potential, and so much going for us, however we just keep getting dished up the same old hope every season with so little to show for it.

It's 35 seasons since we have won a premiership. That is the biggest joke of all, yet none of us are laughing.

This side was built under different rules and a different style of footy. It was much slower and demanded power rather than speed and fitness, which is what the current rules require. You'd remember all the experts here were demanding huge forwards. Those huge forwards are now a liability in defence, and need to play shorter minutes, which requires suitable interchange players.
