Then don't comeHe might have enough money, and could believe coaching Parra would be bad for his legacy.
Best post you’ve made all weekend.Just if merkins think we'll be able to bring in the players we need just by sacking Hipgrave and Opacic they are sorely mistaken. Some fan favourites will need to go.
Goose.Kent on MMM reckons eels fans are being harsh on Arthur. We don’t have a top 4 team so BA’s effectively been overachieving the last few years, and not making the grand final isn’t a failure with our squad. Our premiership window isn’t really open, and never has been.

I’d be trying to let go of Nrown, Lane, Sivo and Drown before those three, but I agree with the rest.I had a couple hundred on Souths, as you know, and the reason is that they are that much better than us. I tipped them as premiers in the pre-season (though now I think it'll be Melbourne again) due to their roster. The faster ruck really suits their players and it doesn't suit ours. And our players know it. Under the 2019 rules we might've got them but the game has moved on.
However I agree it could be time for a change of coach. It's time for a roster change and changing the coach at the same time probably wouldn't hurt. We obviously need more speed out wide and I think we need more toilers in the middle. We might need to let some quality players go to bring them in. I'm talking Paulo, Matterson and maybe even Gutherson. All good players, but not really worth the money they are likely to demand. Not to us anyway.
Well I just finished my second beer and I reckon it's time for another bowl of muesli.Best post you’ve made all weekend.
Nrown and Lane are contracted so I wouldn't waste money trying to move them on. They are both at least fairly mobile, though Nrown doesn't need to play 60 minutes. Seriously diminishing returns. Dylan Brown is both fast and a great one on one defender. If we don't convert him into a fullback/centre some other club will.I’d be trying to let go of Nrown, Lane and Drown before those three, but I agree with the rest.
It's hard to disagree with him, unless you were an Eels fan hoping for a quick fix. Then sacking the coach would be a very comfortable, zero-thought solution.Kent on MMM reckons eels fans are being harsh on Arthur. I too think some favourites need to leave. For example I'd be letting matterson go and going all out for Brandon Smith and keeping Shaun Lane who does a similar job to Matterson at a fraction of the price.Well I just finished my second beer and I reckon it's time for another bowl of muesli.
Actually, is that guy available?

The biggest issue in our pack is Nathan Brown. f**k he has become bog average. Problem is nobody wants him at the price he thinks he's worth.Mattersons been very good the last 6 weeks. His issue is he is better suited to lock.

Seriously, I wish Pou would stop talking about changing coaches. It's getting boring.Massively agree to Pou's post about personnel and coach change..
I predicted Melbourne/Penrith/Souths would be top three. The next tier would be us, Canberra and the Roosters (because they are old and would have a lot of merkins unavailable through the year). I didn't predict Manly would be so good. I'm still waiting for the wheels to fall off.I've seen flaws in Storms armour. I reckon so many things went wrong for Manly yesterday that normally wouldn't along with 2 or 3 very poor calls by reff.
I had gone off Penrith but they disposed of the Roosters without Too and Cleary. Two best players. 3 if add JFH.
Plus still have Critchton, T.May and T.P.J to add into the fold.
May adds little but the other two do. 5 very high quality players to bring back.
As you can see in my PRs I predicted the top 4 back in April. I've still got it.
