Gould doesn't think its the coach. Reckons no coach could win comp with our squad.
But does think its a lot to do with lack of juniors in side.

I don't know if I buy this theory that we don't have the squad to do better:

Gutherson - in poor form, but nearly won the Dally M in 2020, and was good enough to play Origin

Sivo - has massive flaws, but is always near the top for the top try scorers lists

Moses - good enough to play Origin

Mahoney - would likely have played Origin were it note for injury

Paulo - good enough for Origin

RCG - selected for Origin in 2020 but declined to join the camp

Brown - good enough to play Origin

Obviously, Penrith, Melbourne, Souths, and the Roosters have stronger rosters than we do, but on paper, this team is reasonably good.

We should be doing better than conceding 130 points in three weeks. At full strength we competed well against Melbourne, Easts and Penrith. As soon as we had a key player missing against Souths (x2), Manly (x2) and Easts we shat ourselves. We shouldn't necessarily beat any of these teams, but we should beat at least a couple. We certainly shouldn't be getting flogged three weeks in a row. They have the talent to be top eight certainties, but are playing like a bottom four team. They have given up.

I half agree with that.

The coach is a huge part of our junior setup, recruitment and retention system, therefore responsible. He also has created that squad, he has been here going on 9 years. So the buck stop with him. That is another reason why he has to go.

Because they were all shit and the coach sacked them.

Or Manly spotted them and they are now a legitimate option for a premiership while we would struggle to beat a bottom 4 team.

Again nonsense statement that makes very little sense by the forums resident pou.

Did he say we were a crappy roster or just that we couldn't win the comp with this squad? Big difference.

And yet we are usually right and you are usually wrong. Common sense rules the day. I don't need your micro stats or a Chinese Abacus to workout what is currently going on mate.

This coach is now a toxic weapon unintentionally working against everything he has built at the club. Sad actually. But it is what it is and he must go sooner then later for all our sakes.
The way the team is playing atm proves BA has lost the dressing room. The is no desire or aggression from the team, they look lost and clueless.

Look maybe the Parra board should announce that BA is looking tired and not well and therefore on medical grounds they needed to retire him effective immediately. Then appoint Flanno to take over for the remainder of the season. A fresh new voice like that may just wake these sleeping zombies up.

Short of that we are goneskies.

Unfortunately Flanno , and probably Ryan Carr, are not in the bubble so cannot take over unless they talk thru the fence until they have done their 2 weeks.

Even with that type of restriction it would potentially be better then what the current bloke is getting out of them.

We couldn't be playing any worse then what we have. We are playing like a wooden spoon team for f**k sake. This is only going to get worse from here. The coach is cooked and with the suspensions and injuries we are now carrying we will struggle to beat the Cowboys this week and then from there thrashings will be the order of the day.

So if we want to at least make an attempt to salvage, not the season because that is gone, but the confidence and dignity of the players and our club, the management need to make the toughest decision NOW and cut the coach. That is what they are paid to do.

Waiting till he hands us a broken and demoralised roster is going to leave scars that may never heal for some of the players. It is also cruel and unfair punishment to them and us the fans who have to watch our club disintegrate and go backwards like this again. If we don't handle this right(quickly and appoint the right person) it could end up sending us backwards a few more seasons then it should.

If we lose against the Cowboys he should do the honourable thing and quit.

Maybe the players have finally given up on the Bush league game plans???
That would fit the narrative, but doesn't make sense. The game plan has been working for them. When they went away from it against the Roosters they got flogged. They tried to score on every set instead of building pressure, which is how they beat them the first time.
