No, just saying that that I rate Mahoney higher. Grant is a talented footballer but he tries to pull a rabbit out of his hat on just about every play. Often he pulls a hair out of his arse instead. Superior running game to Mahoney but misses too many tackles. Mahoney is a bit more measured when he decides to run and kick. Personally, I don't think he backs himself enough. That's why he's not in the same class as Damien Cook or even Api and that's why he isn't worth $2.4m over 4 years. The club offered him no more than true value plus a bit more. Sorry he's going but not shattered.

Also while you are there look at my recent posts where I said Mahoney was our most important re-signing and that I am pretty disappointed we didn’t re-sign him especially when it appears the dogs offer was only $650k or so, which I reckon we could have got close to (not necessarily match)

Yep, I don't get all these "Oh now Mahoney is crap lol" arguments. I think he's still top five hookers in the game. The point isn't that he's suddenly no good, but that every player has a price cap to a smart club. For dumber clubs the cap for a given player will be higher. It doesn't matter how good they are, if a player is motivated only by money they will end up at shit clubs. You see it all the time.
