When Edge started in 1981 all three of those players hadn’t done anything yet and were basically rookies. In fact I’d argue that Moses, Brown and Gutherson were more established than Sterling, Kenny and Ella circa 1981.

I get your point but Papa was an anomaly. Let’s see how he goes in 2022 before we compare him to someone like Hindmarsh. He could end up just being another Steve Sharp.
Papa showed plenty when he first burst on the scene and played for NZ at 19 i think. Playing for a shitty club and a few injuries he form stalled but here he showed what he was really capable of. He may not reach those heights at the Tigers but to say he'll be a one year wonder is just BS.
We will see. I however wanted him out of all others to stay. I couldn’t give a f**k about Mahoney. He is a good player but severely overrated and as I stated in another post I’d be looking at f**king him off to the Dogs early in 2022 and bringing in Hodgson early if the Raiders chipped in.

He was a f**king nobody when he came here and signed for less than $10k. The Dogs f**ked him off because he was shit. BA made him the player he is and they got within $50k of the Dogs offer and he kept stalling before the Dogs raised it again to trump it by $100k.
Which made him 30 in 1981 which is like 40 now.
