or it maybe a way to manage the salary cap and pay marquis players good money

It’s the type of player BA would go for. Perfect replacement for Nathan Brown. I’d give him $700k.You think the Roosters are about to punt Radley from 13?
Are we though? We seem pretty staunch on not overpaying players. Or are you saying player agents all love us again because we're back to paying stupid money?Like we are with Dylan Brown???
When Edge started in 1981 all three of those players hadn’t done anything yet and were basically rookies. In fact I’d argue that Moses, Brown and Gutherson were more established than Sterling, Kenny and Ella circa 1981.Edge also had sterling kenny Ella put them in your side and even Hindy could play hooker
Whats he on next year???? 700k???? 350k per try assist. Are we though? We seem pretty staunch on not overpaying players. Or are you saying player agents all love us again because we're back to paying stupid money?
Will they ever rise to be as brilliant sterling Kenny Ella in any of today’s teams that team wins the compWhen Edge started in 1981 all three of those players hadn’t done anything yet and were basically rookies. How would any of us know what he's on? Because we read it in the Tele?Whats he on next year???? 700k???? 350k per try assist.
If they win us a comp the majority of our supporters will consider them just as brilliant. Especially the millennials. Will they ever rise to be as brilliant sterling Kenny Ella in any of today’s teams that team wins the comp
Any more than 500k is massive overs on what he showed this year. That said i think he is horribly used and wasted at this club, him and Matto. How would any of us know what he's on? Because we read it in the Tele?
Pretty big if, they haven't look likely the last 3 seasons what have you seen that makes you think thats a possibly???? More just because????if they win us a comp the majority of our supporters will consider them just as brilliant. Especially the millennials.
Neither have the players that are leaving us yet you are carrying on like we have let future immortals go.Pretty big if, they haven't look likely the last 3 seasons what have you seen that makes you think thats a possibly???? More just because????
Most of the blokes we have let go all have their best footy in front of them, can you say that about the blokes we have signed or are looking to sign???Neither have the players that are leaving us yet you are carrying on like we have let future immortals go.
Works both ways.
I get your point but Papa was an anomaly. Let’s see how he goes in 2022 before we compare him to someone like Hindmarsh. He could end up just being another Steve Sharp. Most of the blokes we have let go all have their best footy in front of them, can you say that about the blokes we have signed or are looking to sign???
Simonson is a decent pick up at the right price, but he's just a winger. Sims is apparently a target we offered Papali unders yet are willing to sign a bloke like Sims who has always been a massive under achiever in club footy. His form for the saints has been bog average he has never put a club season of footy together like Papa did this year.
Papa showed plenty when he first burst on the scene and played for NZ at 19 i think. Playing for a shitty club and a few injuries he form stalled but here he showed what he was really capable of. He may not reach those heights at the Tigers but to say he'll be a one year wonder is just BS.I get your point but Papa was an anomaly. We will see. I however wanted him out of all others to stay. I couldn’t give a f**k about Mahoney. He is a good player but severely overrated and as I stated in another post I’d be looking at f**king him off to the Dogs early in 2022 and bringing in Hodgson early if the Raiders chipped in.Papa showed plenty when he first burst on the scene and played for NZ at 19 i think. lol talk about irrational, i love that it's all Mahoney's fault and nothing to do with the club at all. And if it wasn't just money and he wanted to leave you'd have to wonder why???We will see. I never want to see that cauliflowered turncoat in our jersey ever again. I hope he gets smashed when we play against him.
Edge was with us in 1980.When Edge started in 1981 all three of those players hadn’t done anything yet and were basically rookies. In fact I’d argue that Moses, Brown and Gutherson were more established than Sterling, Kenny and Ella circa 1981.
Hopefully he's a two-year wonder.Papa showed plenty when he first burst on the scene and played for NZ at 19 i think. He was a f**king nobody when he came here and signed for less than $10k. The Dogs f**ked him off because he was shit. BA made him the player he is and they got within $50k of the Dogs offer and he kept stalling before the Dogs raised it again to trump it by $100k.lol talk about irrational, i love that it's all Mahoney's fault and nothing to do with the club at all. Which made him 30 in 1981 which is like 40 now.Edge was with us in 1980.
