Jimmy Graham has moved back out to Australia as well fulltime i believe

I'm an Eels fan i want the best players to be playing for my club, losing him means we don't have the best players playing for our club. I'd like to know why he won't be with us, it's not very exciting!!!


But you are as pleased as punch he's gone because Mahoney isn't ploddy enough for you. An old washed up Pom gets you stiff as a board.

How do you know what we offered? All we know is that it was probably less than the Tigers offer. They are a desperate club so they are more likely to offer overs. It's not like he went to the Roosters or Souths.

We had to strike early. By rnd 10. He was on 150k amd 450k for a 2yr extension would of been HUGE for him and I doubt at that point anyone was as blown away by his form as they where by end of season.

Signing Hodgson is a risk given his age, in that he might be unavailable too often to provide value for his price. But if we had paid overs for Mahoney then we wouldn't get value out of him even if he'd played every game. It's 100% risk.

Given the nature of the club he ended up signing for I'm convinced he's on overs there, and to keep him we would've need to pay overs as well.

Any of the players at strong clubs could've gotten more money if they were willing to play for the likes of the Dogs or Tigers, but not all of them are. These are the players you want to keep at your club, not the Reed Mahoneys of the world.

Whats over's for Mahoney???? You really think overs for Mahoney is 650k???


I reckon an offer of around 500-550k and a 3 yr deal might of snared him originally which is nowhere near overs.

Snookered lol, you have wanted Bea gone for year's now your tongue is that far up his clacker you could almost reach his nostrils.

Why because we won a few games at the back end of last season after you blurted out all year he goes if we can't improve on 2020. Well we finished lower and again went out in week 2. But you were happy to move those goalposts. FLIP FLOP FLIP FLOP!!!!!


I have no idea why we lost Mahoney, was it money, was it coaching or was it the excellent feed at the Canterbury Leagues club??? No idea but signing up a washed up Pom with shot knees is not the answer.

I wanted BA gone if we could replace him with someone like Bennett or Trent Robinson. I thought Shane Flanagan was a possibility however I spoke to some people in the know and they told me things and I changed my mind about him. Many clubs agree which is why he is now coaching North Macedonia.

I also spoke to a current player at Parra over a coffee and he gave me some insights on BA. He was very complimentary on him as a man and a coach. Sorry to big note but I know some people that know shit more than both of us.

When I was armed with all this information I supported BA’s extension because he was the best option.
