If he improved his kicking and passing game as a half then it would go a long way to fixing our clunky attack.

Anyone drinking with Avenger would be subject to the same biases as any other dope. Footy staff would be no different. Of course they think they could have gotten him cheaper earlier. They don't need any proof. I'm glad we didn't rush to pay more money to some merkin after half a season of good footy. It shows we aren't desperate, which is what will make us successful in the long run.

What’s your definition of successful? If making the finals consistently is being successful then we have been very successful already.

Ive been a critic of Dylan Brown, but there's something I can't quite put my finger on that makes me want to persist with him for the long term. There's a resilience, calmness and class about him that I think is yet to fulfill its full benefit for us. I think it's coming....

Had Xmas drinks with some Parra staff yesterday. Apparently we could have locked up Ice very early in the year for less than our final offer but we f**ked around. Universally acknowledged that retention/recruitment screwed that one up. He is a top shelf person too. As is my man, Dylan Brown.
