I'm not a fanboy as such, but he plays a very mature game for a young chap in his position, and his defense is already top class. He obviously has to develop his attacking game (outside of broken play), but he can do that.

It doesn't have to happen always. They're not gambling, they are maximising player value over the entire squad, over multiple years. The system only needs to minimise paying overs, while maximising the number of players on unders. Any individual player is meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

I'd rather we lose any player than overpay based on half a season of good footy. Why was he so ordinary in his previous sixty games? The bloke is obviously lacking something. Paying him based on a single off season and a handful of games was high risk. You're acting like he was a player who had achieved something at the time.

Let's just enjoy the two years we had him on massive unders, and let the Tigers hope he can maintain his form for the 72+ games they're paying him for.

I think he’s a good leader but hardly indispensable, what do you reckon if we gave Moses the Keys??? Captain and all??
