I never said we couldn't afford him. He signed with the Dogs so quickly we only had about a dozen players on the books for 2023. We could've afforded anyone at that point if we wanted to overpay. I said we didn't want to pay what the Bulldogs thought he was worth. That's very different from being unable to pay.
