Hmmm it’s a bit of a stretch to play the nepotism card after that article.

JA sounds like he’s the second coming of Joey Johns in that article, talk about very exciting!!

No, Gutherson was just as responsible, because his employee was acting on his behalf.

you know very well he is not Gutho's "employee, Ayoub's is self employed by his agency Ultra Sports Management

every time you respond you try and put a different spin on their relationship

if you want to believe that Gutho signs off on everything that Ayoub posts in the media and social media, that's your business because I dont.

What do you do? Take Moses off? Give him 10 or 25 mins a game?

I don't see how that benefits the kid. He has barely played in the last 12mths. Playing 80mims in NSW cup would be far better.

I do agree with that.

However it is very hard to keep someone out who is a top 17 player. Maybe he would play as a utility or even transition into a ball playing lock?

JA is too slow to cover 1-5 and too small/ weak at this stage in his career to cover 9-13. You’d have to have him purely as halves cover which would be a monumentally stupid decision…even for BA.

Plenty of time, exactly. He should be nowhere near the top side, unless there is a injury in the halves otherwise where do you fit him?? He can’t play anywhere but 6 or 7 so unless a half does down it’s a total waste of a bench spot.
Interesting that Drown is yet to re sign and Jrthur is being talked up. The kid may end up a cracker and I definitely want him retained as a future Moses replacement if he remains a half but Drown is a must sign. His D alone contributed massively to our past success. Absolutely my favourite Eel. He should be re signed NOW! Get on it MON ffs.

I'm saying Gutherson endorses it by continuing to pay him.

I don't see how he suits lock but. The best locks in game are Yeo,JT, Rodney,Murray. They are all powerfull ball runners with a bit of ball playing skill but not much.

Reality is if he is good enough for halfback he will go to another club or we let one of Brown or Moses go.

The main damage wasn’t on our cap, it’s how we looked in the media. It made our club look weak and unprofessional. Something the club has been striving to get away from for years. It also doesn’t help it’s the club captain.

It's more the tone it sets for the other players and how they too are encouraged to drag it out until we are forced to add that little bit extra on or they walk. Add an extra $30-50k on to each new re-signing that you may not have had to pay and it all adds up. Or it may even encourage you to go and have a public sit down with your rival at their leagues club and see what shakes from that.

Captains set the tone at clubs or at least should. So when our merkin captain allowed his negotiations to be played out in the press yet again, it sent the signal to all that you do whatever it takes to get the best deal for yourself. I mean who is going to pull you in line, the captain?

The point is that if the captain is ultra professional during negotiations, then it sends a positive signal to the whole squad. If he were to say publicly what Moses did and suggest that he will be signing with the club again and that it is just a matter of ironing out the details through his manager, but loves the club and doesn't want to go anywhere else and can't see himself playing for anyone else and loves this club to death, well it is a message that can only encourage the rest of the squad to do similar too. I mean does anyone really believe that he was going to get an offer from any other strong club that was going to be greater then ours? We were already paying him the absolute top end of what he is worth. It was always going to be us. He knew this and so did his manager. They just had to do all the haggling in private like professionals, not use the media to get the very last penny out of us and leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth doing it.

I believe if the right tone was set in the first place then the rest of the players would have been behaved accordingly. Then even if they were to sign with another club it still means a hell of a lot more to the fans and optics then what we went through this time around. At least then if players were to sign with another club, we would all have the impression that they really did want to stay, but the offers they received were just to great and rich for them to refuse. But when you just hold out for the highest offer and or play it out in the media, then you just look like a mercenary and someone that couldn't give a toss about our club. Which is how some of these players are perceived now including our captain. There is a right way to negotiate and a wrong way. Our captain has chosen the wrong way two times now. Hopefully we won't need him for a third.

This forum will go into meltdown if that happens.

No disrespect to the kid i haven't come across one parra fan when chatting football outside of this forum that reckons he is anywhere near FG standard yet.

BA should do what's best for his son and let him either develop in reserve grade for another 12 months. Or loan him to Newcastle to play under his great mate Adam O'Brien. At least if he does play first grade its not under the pressure of neoptism.

Because atm that's all this poor kid is thought off when he is picked is that he is only there because of Brad being his father.
For a backup half he is ok and we are skinny in that department. Attack is good, better than average imo, but D is suss but will improve with experience and maturity. You have to remember Moses's D was poor for a couple years after coming to Parra and he was much older. BA will leave him in reserves and only bring him into NRL when the need arises so people get off his case will ya?

Our main priority atm is to extend Dylan before Dolphins, or W-T or another club pounces. W-T's love our juniors because they're much better than their juniors, is that right Silverdale? Because they always ship them off to another club where they actually reach their potential instead of staying mediocre if they stay.
