Why would we move Drown to hooker when we have the opportunity to play Rein. I think JA is long long long odds to be 14.Maybe if JA is our 14, he comes on, and Drown moves to hooker with Mahoney given a break
I wouldn;t do this either. But if they do put JA at 14 (coz they're saying he's in the top 17) then cant think of anything else. I mean, playing JA at lock would be worse than bringing back seph paulo. Why would we move Drown to hooker when we have the opportunity to play Rein. I think JA is long long long odds to be 14.
Agree Reins got to be on the bench. Mahoney is gonna struggle to play 80I wouldn;t do this either. But if they do put JA at 14 (coz they're saying he's in the top 17) then cant think of anything else. I mean, playing JA at lock would be worse than bringing back seph paulo.
I think Rein should be 14.
You'd play Dylan at lock before playing him at hooker. Well, I would. I actually think Dylan could make a superb lock. Anyway JA will get his chance, I don't see the hurry given he is only 18/19. It's not like he will leave.I wouldn;t do this either. But if they do put JA at 14 (coz they're saying he's in the top 17) then cant think of anything else. Yeah, i thought that too. Dyl at lockYou'd play Dylan at lock before playing him at hooker. Well, I would. I actually think Dylan could make a superb lock. Anyway JA will get his chance, I don't see the hurry given he is only 18/19. It's not like he will leave.
Hmmm it’s a bit of a stretch to play the nepotism card after that article.
Eels Pre-Season Training - January 31, 2022: A Selection Dilemma
A selection headache is looming for Parramatta Eels coach Brad Arthur. Emerging half Jake Arthur, the son of the coach, is currently one of the stars of this preseason. Make no mistake, in terms of his consistency and his recent dominance of opposed sessions, JA is demanding inclusion in the top 17thecumberlandthrow.com
No wonder all the Player managers think Parra lowball the players if they read the TCT training reports everyone looks a million bucks.JA sounds like he’s the second coming of Joey Johns in that article, talk about very exciting!!
What else are TCT supposed to report, that our players are a cobbled together, fumbling, disinterested bunch of no-hopers? I read their reports, and like anybody else, take them with a grain of salt. At least they attend training sessions. No wonder all the Player managers think Parra lowball the players if they read the TCT training reports everyone looks a million bucks.

That would at least stop us always getting our hopes up.What else are TCT supposed to report, that our players are a cobbled together, fumbling, disinterested bunch of no-hopers? I read their reports, and like anybody else, take them with a grain of salt. At least they attend training sessions.
I agree on all counts. Jarthur is still raw. Being the coaches son adds a lot of pressure to his still developing 19yo body and brain. Personally, I think he should bide his time for another season in the wings before even being considered in the top 17. This season, he should only be called upon because of injury to other players. Why would we move Drown to hooker when we have the opportunity to play Rein. I think JA is long long long odds to be 14.
I'm saying Gutherson endorses it by continuing to pay him.
Who needs a big Willie when you’ve got a great Tongue?!Simple Jack?? The Parramatta Raiders. What’s Alan Tongue doing these days???
Yeah, I got that. But, I think that we all should take a step away for a moment and try to put ourselves in Jarthurs situation.I was being a bit facetious.
Every club at this time would be training well.
And the 15-16 other clubs fans would love to get the information the TCT provide for their own club even if its all fluffy duffy.
I agree with all that but TCT talking him up to play in our top 17 does him no favoursYeah, I got that. But, I think that we all should take a step away for a moment and try to put ourselves in Jarthurs situation.
19 years old
Son of the coach of the most scrutinised club in the NRL.
Peer pressure
Having the mental capacity to deal with self doubts and worth to the team because Dad picked him to play.
Dealing with the most insane supporter base in the NRL
These are just some of the issues I figure that he has to deal with. At the end of the day, he may not be up to it. But at this point in time I'm going to cut him some slack.
There is probably sufficient flexibility in the backs to accomodate Shrub on the bench. The stupid decision would be to have your 14 only able to cover the 6 or 7 in the event they get injured.
I think BA will chop and change his bench quite a lot this year.JA is not getting a bench spot. He will play if someone's injured.
