Ho hum, just exercised his player option. We want a decent upgrade of 3-4 years. This kid could be anything in the next few years and is already an elite defender, so a huge tick there, just needs to develop his attacking game which will come.

It's a risk for him also. Right now he could get a decent deal. If he stagnates this season and doesn't improve I reckon plenty of clubs and fans will change their tune on how high his ceiling is.
At the moment people still think he could be elite. If in 2022 he does no better then his last few years I reckon he will be seen as just a standard NRL half that goes ok with a chief play maker.

You could be right or he might be playing to BA's instructions. Allow Moses to be the chief playmaker and feed Gutho the ball on his favourite left side. Who knows?

I think we get to claim Semi who is the one of the best players in the world from either code. Junior Paulo is also better.
Overall you are over rating the crap out of Dylan Brown just going off what he has done on the field.

Michell Moses is our best and most valuable player with Gutherson a close second. Brown is in the next tier followed closely by the rest. Our side is so balanced and with a bit of luck is what premiership winning teams look like.

BA has always been about improving the team's (and the individual's) defence and getting that right before working on attack. He has been getting them ready to defend by instinct and get it right.

Moses came to us and couldn't tackle, now he does ok for a halfback.
Mahoney debuted and was turned into a tackling machine and only in the last 2 years have we seen his attack start to improve.
Hell, even Waqa has been improving with his defence since he arrived.

I reckon BA has done the same with Drown... 50 games with a focus on defence, defence and getting his defence right (both attitude and where and how he defends) and this year we will see alot more attack from Drown. His defence is now natural whether under fatigue or not and we all know defence wins games.

It appears Waqas main problem was Fergo. We could well see a far more confident player this year. Dyls D looks natural to me. Amazing instincts and technique with speed to match. The confidence he would have in his D must translate to his A this season and Im sure it will. Dyl is absolutely vital to our team. We definitely have some weapons in our arsenal this year. Simonsson is a huge get I reckon. Very excited.

Good point. BA doesn't even bother to coach attack so this kid is all instinct.
He should go outside of the Parra football program to get some ball player coaching.

I heard we 3xtened Makatoa,Rodwell amd Ogden untill end of 2024. I find it odd. Guys like Gower and Stone could only ever land 1yr deals. Has out rune changed ot does the coaching staff rate these guys and locked them up? Considering Ogden was only on a trial and see contract id lean on they rate him highly as a genuine NRL prospect.
Greig extended till 23 I heard also.
