Thanks scoop. The Roosters are at a premium at the moment with stars and Suaalii is available if we are willing to go to the $1m mark. I don't think that they could match us at that price and like I said earlier we have a few things that make us a very desirable destination.

He is odds on to be the next major superstar and probably better then Pongia, but if it were to ever happen it would need to happen now, like this year we need to start the ball rolling for him to come for next year. I fear after this year he will be to entrenched into their NRL team and comfortable and set to want to change clubs. It is much easier to get elite juniors out of a club then established ones. The time is now. We need to do a Rooster on the Roosters like when they swooped in and signed JWH just as he was ready to bloom from the Sea Eagles all those years ago. He helped them win multiple premierships as a reward. We need to do the same and with a little luck have similar results.
Up until 1990 you're talking about the pre-salary cap era, when we could use as much of our pokie den money to throw at players as we liked. Since then getting money into the hands of players has been increasingly difficult and required wealthy benefactors of one sort or another. We've never had anything like this. We are the people's club.

Maybe you should offer the club your services. Send them your CV.
TheRam is a guy who talks about players not being "the answer" as though there's a single person out there who would be "the answer" to us not being genuine premiership favourites. The only people who would do anything close to that for us are Politis and Crowe, and I don't think we can offer anything they would want.

Maybe you should say something half worth listening to GIF boy. On second thoughts don't bother Giffy you bore the crap out of me. At least Pou with all his faults can be interesting or amusing. You, well...queue the GIF's Giffy, we all know that's all you got.

7yrs ago I come in here with ram and what did we say? To win a comp you need a 2nd rower who can bust the line.
Why our best chance was when had Manu Mau. We are still fart arrsing around with this simple rule of premierships success. And why we won't win shit imo unless LANE has a huge season and can consistently be a threat.

Agreed. I forgot about this guy. He is a super talent and probably the best there is in Britain at the moment. But I hear the Raiders are keen on him and are willing to pay a transfer fee too. Maybe if we got Hodgson to ring him up and get into him about coming to Parra. Might make having Hodgo on our books worth something.

I wish we had a team of recruiters that would look at getting superstars to our club from anywhere and not just look for bargain price rejects or project players.
Knights are keen on him as well.
Brian Toohey: Knights are still more than $700k under the cap for this season. A big chunk of that can be saved to use next season.
- Mentions again that we're chasing Will Pryce & Kai Pearce-Paul.

Watching the Koolamatangi 2nd rower from Souths. That's the type you need punching holes

Agreed Hindy. Remember I pointed out last year that he was one of the best backrowers that knew how to run at a hole and our boys needed to learn a thing or two from him. Our timing and angles are all out so often. I just don't know what we do all week at training. Do the halves even work on drills with the forwards? Do we have special plays we call for certain situations? Do they give each other a look and know without saying anything what each are thinking.

We should be doing drills a million times a week to the point that they can robotically do whatever the playmaker calls in their sleep and do it effortlessly and error free. Instead we are a bubbling inept unit of 13 individuals that haven't a clue so often with or without the ball. How, since the majority of this team have been together for a few years now and should be doing things like clockwork?

I reckon our coaching staff just don't have what it takes to be quality teaches. They are probably like the teacher you had at school that was nice but wasn't all that clued in. You kind of picked things up but not enough to get top grades. Kind of like that. Then you got a master teacher that just blew everyone away and only then you realised how crappy the last guy was. Everything was dark but now you can see. We need our club to find the light switch ffs. I'm sure everyone by now is really sick of watching our players continually bumping into each other like blind men groping in the dark.

Watching Souths I seen brilliant attacking raids. And even with the Rooster playing and they still looked good probing and looking for holes. Just couldn't hang onto the ball.

Tigers try and attack and look better then us still but their defense is so bad they just can't sustain it and will get the spoon or close.

Our styles fine. It will beat all those weak sides and maybe if lucky beat a few of the top ones also if they are having an off day.
But come finals your cannon plodder. By this time the top sides are fine tuned. Yes you've given yourself a chance by getting there but unless they copped a heap of injuries, played poor and bad luck and every bounce of the ball went your way you are going out week 2.
Yes you can beat the side who come 7th or 8th. Generaly the sides finishing there are no better then the sides who finished 9th -12th.

What I see from the Sharks is a style that if can sustain in a premiership winning style. But I did pick them as my dark horse.

Early days but the Sharks have been impressive. Hynes has really surprised me but Id suggest its got a little to do with how they are coached. Time will tell.

Fitzgibbon and Hynes have changed everything for that club.

Hynes has always been a class and quality player. Now that he has been given a settled position he will thrive. Kind of reminds me a little of when Thurston left the Dogs. You could see he had something and was a great runner and support player while there, but no one would have predicted or thought he would become the playmaking player that he turned out to be. Not saying Hynes will be in the Thurston class, but he will be a damned fine playmaker that will win them many, many games and with any luck might even jag them another GF.

Hope not though.
