Im really looking forward to TLT tomorrow. So many possibilities.
Are Marata and Jake back and if so what grade will they play?
Do we get good news on Waqa?
Will Oggy be back after missing last week?
Will Dantoray be back after also missing last week?
If Waqa is out how will the backline be structured?
Hopefully a timeframe for when Russell returns?
Will Rein retain his spot after his 20 minute hit out?
Has BA lost faith in Cartys D after 2 try conceeding efforts in consecutive weeks?
If Junior is suspended who gets his spot and as a consequence what will the bench make up be?
Will Lane be back and if so does he start or on the bench?
If Lane returns on the bench will BA play him in the middle again?
Im so looking forward to next Monday. Should be a great day. Gee I hope the 2s and 3s are playing at Commbank this coming round.
Go you Magnificent Eels.
If the NRL dig their heels in and say you have to use a back in your Top 30, then we only have Perham left (unless Naiduki is fit).

TBH I would not pick Perham (1 or 6) because winger is so crucial these days. So hopefully Naiduki is good to go.

Also I don't think that Rein offered anything when he was on. Admittedly we didn't have any ball in H2, so maybe I'm being harsh.

Rein had no chances. We had 30% of the ball in the 2nd half while he was on. Bar tackling our forwards where cooked the few times we did have the ball. Not sure can judge him.

What did Mahoney do? Of all hookers in comp he has missed the 2nd most.

Naiduki is strong but hands like feet. But long term perhaps a better prospect then Perham who looks more a utlitly.

Yes you are being harsh on Rein. Perham is a 6 from what Ive seen of him.
My choice would be Marata to center and Oppy to wing. Both professionals who will do their job. My next choice would be Cini if allowed. Maybe Big Sam L would look better surrounded by NRL players. Hes a specimen and he is a Rhino.

I was defending him in NRL. The 120kgs guys in the NRL running at you are different beasts then Nsw cup. Well probably not as much a difference these days
The main difference is that the 120kg merkins in reserve grade are gassed after ten minutes. They still run the ball just as hard. They just do it less often.

That's not true. He made an excellent run out of dummy half and dropped the ball. All the likes of him, Carty and any other fringe first grader would be expected to do is come on and do their job and make no errors.

A very good run. Yes he dropped the ball at a crucial time. But this happens. I wouldn't dismiss him from that. If he hadn't dropped the ball it was a good dart.

Sure if he did this week in week out then fair enough. But errors happen.

I had a look. It appears The 2s are at Commbank prior to The 1s but the 3s are at Kellyville on Friday. Thats fu*ked. I thought PVL was going to fix this? Weak Mofo.

It's possible to just be unlucky. It's also possible to be your best while not being quite as good as a couple of better-resourced clubs. What if we're a 20% chance of winning the comp this year? Are we failures if we don't win? It means we're an 80% chance of not winning, so hardly a failure if it doesn't happen.

Obviously you'd like to be a 20% chance (or better) of winning the comp every year but it doesn't seem possible for most clubs. Do you mortgage the future to get another year of being a solid chance (about 1 in 5, IMO) and then follow it with four or five years of almost zero chance (maybe 1 in 50)? If your 20% chance works out and you win the comp (like the 2016 Sharks) then yes, the fans will accept just making up the numbers in the following years.

But if you don't win (which is more likely even when your premiership chance is 20%) the recruitment/retention decisions won't have been any different than if you'd won. But idiot fans won't see it. Because they think there is no luck involved, even if they're punters and should know better.

What if you are 100% chance of winning a Premiership in a 10-12 year period like the Roosters, Storm and now maybe even the Panthers have joined that elite group? Would our fans be happy with that?

We should also be one of those clubs as should the Broncos. The Broncs and us are the only two clubs that have not lived up to our promise and some lesser clubs have done what we should have over the last 30 odd years.

The better run and managed clubs make there own luck mate. They don't make percentage excuses, but percentage GF wins.

Except for Jake who needs to play like Thurston or there will be f**king hell to pay.

What he does have over both Moses and Brown but I reckon is awesome vision and game awareness. I noticed many times when he has seen a guy out of position and rolled the ball in. His execution needs work.
I also think he looks to have a more calm head in the Cleary mould.

Just seems to lack athletic ability. That would be his down fall.

If he could develop faster and stronger leg drive once filled out he could develop into a ball playing middle like Yeo. But like you said he needs a lot of work on his athleticism. He seems so slow and weak at this point in time. If that change he would make a great middle with all the skills, size and endurance he has.

I think he takes a while to wind up but top end speed seems ok.

Well no. People aren't expecting him to play like Thurston. What would be good is if he came on and did not force a re-shuffle and us having to move one of the competition's form halves out of position because he only knows how to play in the halves (at a fairly basic basic level IMO).
