Yeah he seems to have a bit of a rivalry for that NRL spot with Mansour. I don’t watch Souths close enough to understand why. Looking at his stats, he hasn’t been a big metre eater of late. Then again, I don’t know how many kick returns he gets. Also Souths tend to go to the left when in the red zone, so the winger on the right doesn’t get sweet the ball in space like Alex Johnston does.
From what I've watched of Souths games this year, he hasn't been great. That may be due to them trying him out as a centre so it's hard to judge but i'm going to anyway. His ball handling has been ordinary, doesn't really look able to setup his winger, He got punted from left centre back to the right wing against Melbourne which coincided with their comeback. Looks to be a decent finisher close to the line and has size so he can ruck out ok.
Is he better than what we have in out lower grades? Maybe, but IMO not by enough to waste one of our last 2 spots on.

I guess it depends on how both Sivo and Dunster are after knee recons. Maybe experience tells the med staff that a knee recon is not just 9 months rehab, but also 6-9 months after that to get back to where you need to be.

Gutherson didn't seem to take long once back did he? A handful of games.

Eels eyeing young Rabbitoh

Parramatta’s prolonged search for an outside back continues with South Sydney’s Jaxson Paulo the latest name on the list.

The Eels have been on the look-out to fill their depleted backline stocks and Paulo is emerging as a potential option for the remainder of this year and next season.

The 22-year-old started the season in first grade but has been relegated to NSW Cup in recent weeks. He is off-contract at season’s end.

Just sign Semi, you f**ken cowards!!!

I thought that as well initially but Dunster won't be first grade quality next season after his knee injury. Sivo will more than likely leave along with Opacic. But aren't we also interested in Farnworth and Masters as well? Gives us a lot of depth but I agree it's probably not that necessary.
Haven't got either of them yet and no guarantee we will. Much prefer Farnworth over Masters who is very much a hot and cold player. Either could probably get paid more at their current clubs than what we're willing to pay but may get if they want to go to a stronger team. Best we beat Donkeys badly which might make Farnworth want to leave.

Does brooks move to centre?
Probably 14 as a utility who can play half and D/H. Dearest utility in the league with a reported salary in excess of $1m. How could the tigpies be so dumb to pay a reasonable, certainly not great or elite, half so much? Even MM gets paid less and is happy.

I suspect one is being looked at as a depth player (Masters) the other as a starter (farnworth)….don’t you?
