Some peanut of FB claiming Matto AND Oppa signed with Dolphins. I don’t put any substance to it but worth sharing…

I recall a story in the paper last year about how much Matto enjoyed being on the sunshine coast last year ..... maybe the god squad and the gym scene is better in queensland

I reckon it's likely too. Matto made friends with the local God Squad up there.

Meanwhile Matterson’s move to the middle is paying dividends.

The Eels junior grew up as a five-eighth, and is able to see his role in the middle as similar to that.

“I’m more involved,” he said.

“I get my hands on the ball a lot more and I get to choose whether to run or pass.

“Back row at the moment people are running lines and you’re a bit more of a crash player. But I enjoy being a ball-player.”

His shift from edge to middle came after raising the topic with coach Brad Arthur early in the pre-season, with Matterson having toyed with the idea for the past two years after being signed as an edge.

“Brad said ‘I am glad you said that, because I was thinking the same thing’,” Matterson said.

“I had a bit of a taste of it at the Roosters and Tigers, and it was something I really thrived on.”

We had to wrap him up earlier in the year.
Add 150k now due to his form. In saying that prior to the last 6 weeks I wasn't that keen on him. However I have been saying play him in the middle as a lock. It's his best spot. Only took BA 2yrs to work it out but.
Blind Fred could see that.

And if we'd signed him up and he suffered another concussion, you wouldn't be jumping up and down with the benefit of hindsight?

Exactly what my post says but it seems you where unable to read it properly. As I said. 6 weeks ago I wasn't keen either.

I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt this time and will let you off by just calling you a Rabbit and leaving the f**king out.

But the player and his manager couldn’t? No player is going to sign for unders when he thinks he’s out of form. He will ‘let his footy do the talking’. They might not be smart but they’re not stupid.

Wouldn’t surprise at all!!!

And runs the risk of another concussion and dropping a further 200k. About all he would be worth is 250k if had another conclusion I reckon.

Clubs already know he’s a concussion risk, no matter how good his form is. What sort of club would pay the big bucks and bet on it never happening again? I would say a weak one.

As I said. If he had one more his value would dive. Right now sides would be aware but he has had a solid run without one.
Another and he may not even be offered another deal and he would also know that.

I know you said you weren't keen on him til 6 weeks ago. But what does 'we had to to wrap him up earlier in the year' mean? Genuine question.
