Not really, success has varying degrees, there's been times when I woulda given @striders lefty just to make the eight, let alone progress past week one.
Now we've tasted success in becoming a team that's expected to make the finals, just making the finals isn't what success looks like anymore, that's just meeting expectations.
Everything is relative. Ultimately we all want a premiership, the ultimate success for any given season, failing to reach that isn't still without it's successes.
I guess it's worth asking the question what does a successful season look like? 'Cause if it's only defined by a premiership, without any context, then there's gonna be 15 teams that are failures this season, which I don't think is right.
