Rumours and Stuff

Mate we offer them what we think they are worth and if they don't like it they can go chase the cash. We will find someone cheaper. And develop them. That's what development clubs do.
I'm not sure we're as rigid as some people think. That prick Gutho got more than we wanted to pay the last two times and others probably have too. Anyway the recruitment has been pretty good under FFS O'Neill! so I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.

What if we don’t match offers and then Drown chases cash as well? At some point you need to pay market value if you want to be competitive.
Sure, but you can’t pay it for everyone. We kept Paulo, Gutherson and RCG. I assume we haven’t paid overs but we are probably paying at least a couple of them a year too long.

We had to wrap him up earlier in the year.
Add 150k now due to his form. In saying that prior to the last 6 weeks I wasn't that keen on him. However I have been saying play him in the middle as a lock. It's his best spot. Only took BA 2yrs to work it out but.
Blind Fred could see that.
I’m just go to start calling you Gary from now. f**ken fencesitter

Lol I reckon your definition of success is lower than most people’s.

Not really, success has varying degrees, there's been times when I woulda given @striders lefty just to make the eight, let alone progress past week one.

Now we've tasted success in becoming a team that's expected to make the finals, just making the finals isn't what success looks like anymore, that's just meeting expectations.

Everything is relative. Ultimately we all want a premiership, the ultimate success for any given season, failing to reach that isn't still without it's successes.

I guess it's worth asking the question what does a successful season look like? 'Cause if it's only defined by a premiership, without any context, then there's gonna be 15 teams that are failures this season, which I don't think is right.
