For his sake, I hope his decision making isn't as slow as his play the balls....When does Sivo need to make his decision in regards to next year player option?

I always think back to that try Will Smith scored in Week 1 2017 of the Finals against the Storms in Melbourne where we were shifting right on their line, and then Mitch, with body in motion right, turned it back inside left to Smith who ran it perfectly for try time....For mine, when we are in the red zone, we struggle against the better teams because the defense stays in a line and so we shift the ball wider and we run out of space. In this incident, cleary mase a defensive mistake and we took advantage of it.
However, what the good teams do is they cause our defense to make errors due to decoy runners. Panfers and souths are good at this.
We should work more on having better decoy runners to make it look like they would get the ball to hold the defense to stay in the middle and for their edges to come in.
I reckon we have something like that but as can see in Pou’s post, we’ve got a ton of spots to fill tooI'd be suprised if we have 1.5 mill to spend like some have suggested. Most the guys we lost where not on big contracts.
Royce Hunt- Strongest man in the NRL for Kaufusi.Guys I'd be interested in if the price is right and maybe even snag them this season.
1 - Angus Critchton. Pick of the bunch and would be prepared to pay him 650k. Maybe even 700k. He is worth it. I doubt he will leave this season. Rooster will be finals bound I imagine.
2. Frizell - At age 30 he still has some decent footy left. What is he worth? If we could get him for the back half of the year and another two after that it would be perfect. He is reported to be on 700k. 450k-500k would be a good deal.
3. Klemmer - I don't think we need middles but still only 28. RCG was also going like busted prior to coming here. How much would I pay? I don't think more then 300k which would be the issue. I can not see the Knights chipping in the rest. Apparently on around 800k. He is off contract at end of 2023. Wouldn't be a terrible pick up at the price I suggested. Long shot however.
4. Doorey - Wouldn't cost a lot and prior to injury was developing well. Probably would be available this season also.
5. RFM - As above. Might cost a little more but wouldnt demand huge dollars.
I am sure there is more guys around. Would also be wise to look at a young hooker. Unless we have something good in under 20s. Rein and Hands would be ok back ups to Hodgson. I'd still try and add another.
Just to be clear, there is no chance we didn't keep Mahoney because our 2023 cap was full. It would've been because the Bulldogs offer didn't match our valuation of him and therefore we refused to match it.Unsure. I feel like we are ok and have options in that area with Russel and Dunster so if did go not critical. I'd probably rather he does and use one of those two and have 400k to blast elsewhere. It's a shame in a way we did sign him up. 100k of that at Mahoney would of been better spent.

Source for what? My assessment? If it was somebody else's assessment I would've quoted them.Source?
You have a tendency to frame your posts as fact.... "There is no chance"..... As an example.... I've been, and seen others, questioned when making similar statements. But you're OK, you suit the narrative......play on....Source for what? My assessment? If it was somebody else's assessment I would've quoted them.
No rush. He'd have plenty of time to negotiate and sign a new contract between getting tackled and getting up to play the ball. When does Sivo need to make his decision in regards to next year player option?
I hear ya loud and clear...Yeah it's fine. If you need clarification I have no problem with you asking for it. I thought it was obvious where I said "It would've been because..." but obviously not. You are rugby league fans after all. Bad faith readings of what merkins say is part of our culture.

FFS!Obviously there is a chance our 2023 cap was full when we made our final offer to Mahoney, so when I say "no chance" I mean "little chance".
WHAT THE f**k DID YOU JUST CALL ME, YOU f**kEN f**k?!?The trick is to not take it personally.
To be fair, I'd be disappointed if he was feeling anything at all about next season right now. He is (or should be) a professional athlete and with his future secured for 4 years from now, it should be irrelevant what's happening this year at the Dogs....Reckon anyone has more regret than Mahoney right now? Maybe only Burton & JAC.
Even if he’s getting an extra $100-$150k a year, he’s young and has plenty of time later in his career to get the big $$. Playing for dogs his chances of origin are zip as are his chances of playing finals or developing further as a player
*BaldI hear ya loud and clear...
Mods leave you be seeing as you suit the narrative.... Good as gold...

Liam Martin apparently going to market after rejecting Panther's extension. Free to negotiate from November. Big fan, is all effort and grit. A glue type player that holds things together.... But the figures suggested his management are looking for are extremely optimistic. Wouldn't pay upwards of 500K. They're hoping for 750....
