Gives 120% every game. Not only a good player, but an inspiration to his team mates. I wouldn't swap him for any other fullback...

Me too. He may not be Turbo, but Turbo costs $400k more.

Plus he's robust and we get tremendous value out of him. Since 2016 he's played:

2016 24 games
2017 18 games
2018 19 games.
2019 26 games
2020 22 games
2021 25 games
2022 12 games.

Ponga,Turbo,Teddy,Papenhauzen,Latrell would get more money. Edwards has over taken Guth probably costs 250k less. But yeah unsure what others cost.
Anyhows Guths down on form but he is only 27. He will get better back half of the season for sure. I just like fast explosive fullbacks.

It's more that they don't seem to care enough. As long as we are there abouts keeps the wolf from the door so to speak. If we happen to jag one along the way, 'you beaut', otherwise as long as the semis are a regular thing then most members and fans will keep turning up and no major drama or upheaval will transpire.

There is a little thing called the salary cap which stops us from getting whom ever we want to get a premiership.

You have said a few times that we should have matched other offers to keep Mahoney and Ice, so if that's the case, we have to either let others go or pay less to retain other players and/or depth players.

You can't have it both ways and saying the club doesn't care, I mean seriously, you have no idea what's going on in the club behind closed doors. You are making huge assumptions in my opinion (which you are perfectly entitled to do).

However, to say the club doesn't care and is just making token efforts is something I just can't agree with. For a start, what would be their motivation ? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Edwards has over taken him this season quite easily.
Laurie , Cobo ,Walsh, Kennedy, Savage, Nanai, Manu are all young guys who play fullback or in will end up there who I reckon by 2023/2024 atleast 3/7 of these will.be superior.
