Every fullback organises the defensive line ffs. Do you think that’s the be all and end all of defence? The Panthers could have a deaf mute at fullback and their defensive line would be just fine, for the reasons I gave. Likewise I doubt the Bulldogs defence would suddenly improve with Edwards at fullback. They would still concede plenty from bombs.

As far as developing players go however like Pou suggests, we'll if they are all in the pipeline you'd question why we are signing guys like Makatoa,Ogden,Rein,Hodgson. Along with rumours of Frizzel and KE. Both I do not believe.
It would suggest that there isn't to many in the mix for 2023 in the lower levels.

I still reckon Matterson will stay for some reason. I feel him making origin will work in our favour.
Plenty of time to work on our squad for 2023. And of the guys we lost Papali'i is the only guy I realy wish we kept. Kafusi,Stone are only average players. Mahoney is not worth the big coin. Marata I do like but injuries and suspensions seem common for him.

Just heard on the radio that we are chasing Frizell and Zac Woolford.

How old is our pack going to be next year ffs!

Fizell is still a decent player on his day, but he is getting to that stage where he can be quite inconsistent due to age and injury.

Add to that that league is a young mans game and that if we add him to our already on the older side pack plus old man Hodgson and the Edwards rumor, then I don't think our forwards will be able to cut it with the better mix of younger and older packs in the NRL.

I just really hope some of our lower grade young ones can step up and be quality NRL players real soon.
