I think the NRL need to bring in a 4 week transfer window mid season. In that time you can sign guys but they have to join for the remainder of the year.
All other signings to be done once your side is out of finals. Yes people may complain about guys wanting to know in advance. But I am sure managers would be talking behind scenes anyhows. Us fans don't need to know all that.

On the flip side how it is currently does give your side time to prepare so imagine losing all these guys in October and having no real time to look elsewhere.

Only if we wanted Smith to play the same role as Drown (but worse). Really I think it means we would need Moses to run more and Gutherson to be more involved. It’s not like you’d want Smith to come in and make 15 runs every week. It’s a waste of good ball when there are better runners to take up the slack.

We’d also need to score points. I’d also argue Smith at 1, Gutho at 6 and Drown at 7 is a much better option at the moment than JA anywhere in the spine.

I dunno, I'm just trying to work out what your opinion is based on? Is it how he talks in interviews, or something? I've seen nothing to suggest that he is not invested in the club. But maybe I'm missing something.
