Yes you've mentioned this. But what you need to consider is a lot of people wouldn't. Reason being if they are on great money already. Lets say Moses is on 900k at Parra. 1 mill isn't a huge upgrade. 100k after TAX MAY MEAN 60K.
When he is going to pocket perhaps 600k or 660k or over 3 yrs. 1.8 mill or 1.98 mill. Either is a huge amount regardless.
Much different to a guy who earn 75k a year and offered 120k.
Especially if you are happy and have made a lot already which Moses has. He has been on a large amount of money since he was 19. By 21 he has been on over 750k I would assume or more.
Yeah well obviously money isn’t everything. I could get paid less to do a more interesting job but I could also get more if I wanted to move the family to Sydney or Melbourne, or even Canberra. But they’re happy here so this is where I choose to work.

I know plenty of friends who turn down bette praying jobs cause they can live they lifestyle they like with what earn and are happy. I'm unsure why everyone think that all individuals will just change for extra money. I know heaps of sparkys who could get an extra 20k a year but don't.
I think people who play NRL are generally highly motivated. That’s quite different from the sparky who only wants to work 38 hours a week in a low stress job.

I know sparkies who do 60hrs a week. They chase the money.
You see everyone is different. Unsure why you want to put everything in a box. Nothing back and white. There are 50 shades of grey.

Lol. Yes. And so does many others. Like you may be a sales rep, electrician, Store manager. And take another job at a different site, company and get more money and have a better or worse job.

That's all part of the gamble.

But with rising costs of living, it puzzles me that people would rather get paid less for the same job.

When I sub contract I can earn $5hr more with some guys. But prefer less with the good people's. They don't piss me off and I don't feel like smashing their heads with a rock

Also his managers fee on top of that so maybe that $60k is looking more like $54k.

So true Hindy. I know so many hookers that won't leave their corner even though they could too.

Happiness is priceless.

That is just an old fox sowing the seeds of discontent so that the club and players become even more vulnerable. He is desperate for a half and if he can nab Hastings he knows that his job is done and they are back in contention for finals. Then all he needs is fillers around him that can do the job and a Fullback.

I hope Hasting does leave the Tigers, a weak Tigers is good for Parra, but I want him to go to a one city team like the Knights, Dolphins or even Warriors. The weaker all our Sydney neighbours are, especially our western and inner western neighbours, the better and stronger we can be.

I would keep loan open. If shut it can be difficult if want to re draw or turn into an investment.....
yeah I agree.

It's best to stick it in an offset then you pay no interest (unless that money can be invested elsewhere and make more than your Loan interest rate) but the loan is still outstanding as per hindy said.

I always believe that putting extra money in the offset is better than paying off your mortgage.

You might want to buy a new car and the interest rate on your mortgage could be less than a car loan.

I am wondering if we can actually hold onto both Drown and Moses for 2024 especially $$ wise.

Dyl has upward potential. Moses kicking is super valuable to us.

But if we can't, we would go after a combo of

6. Dyl
7. Hasting

and the difference from the cost of Moses and Hasting we can invest in a better edge player.
