Makatoa he must have some dirt on someone, he is bog average, would not make any other first grade side, but a permanent with us , along with Kaufusi, we are sinking at a rate of knots, and apparently now don’t like each orher , u can’t script this shit!!!Maybe so however if he isn’t better option on the bench than Makatoa I’m f**king not here.
o what does that tell ya?I heard the ones who left all took pay cuts as well. Someone told me at a junior footy match on the weekend.
I think the forwards were actually pulled aside in the sheds and pretty much told those home truths... at least that's what I was told straight after the game by someone who goes into the sheds.Too late right?! This was worst aspect for me. Shit like that really exposes what they are as a team. A few home truths need to be said. It’s was boarding on being cowards how they didn’t come to the aid of their so called mates.
On Nathan Brown you can’t say he didn’t put his body on the line for the team. Unfortunately his form has gone backwards this year. It’s not the way I wanted to see him leave our club.
You could accuse him of not playing well but you could never accuse him of not putting in 100% which is what happened by plenty on monday. Arthur has built this team on chasing the collisions and effort areas and nobody has done that more than Brown. But hey first chance he gets he boots him out the back door. I mean Lane slept walked through the whole game last week but yet he is free to derp it up week after week. Talk about double standards, the coaches time is well and truly up the sooner he is gone the better. He deserves better.
He's one bloke who never gave half-arsed efforts.
Different roles, prop or lock, both positions have different roles….I'd like to see a journalist ask Brad Arthur the question.
"Are Makatoa and Kaufusi better players or playing better than Nathan Brown?"
Surely he can't answer "Yes" with a straight face.
I'd then like to see a journalist respond with.Different roles, prop or lock, both positions have different roles….
I wouId have to go back in check, and see exactly what role Nrown was playing recently but I assume it was more a “lock” role, while those 2 are generally in the “prop” role….
Well if The Chooks do their usual agressive sh*t today can we expect our boys to come back hard? Do we have it in our game to push the boundaries without going over the top? Truthfully the player who plays on the edge is Nrown and hes been relegated. Additionally SOO spots are on the line. It will be fascinating how our boys respond. Then of cause should we get a result today our nemesis The Rabbits are waiting for us. These next two games are massive.I think the forwards were actually pulled aside in the sheds and pretty much told those home truths... at least that's what I was told straight after the game by someone who goes into the sheds.

Should we have lied to him? He asked. f**k imagine how much whinging there would be on here if the opposite happened and we extended him for another year.I mean, to tell a bloke with a year, and a bit, left to run on his deal, that if he finds a new deal elsewhere, he can leave...that's rough.

We have little idea of how the conversation went down. Or even if Nathan was directly involved - isn't the standard line that 'my manager looks after that for me'What's the reason they couldn't simply have said, "We won't renew you past 2023?"
Instead, he tells him that he's free to leave if he finds a deal, and then drops him from First Grade altogether.
That's pretty disgusting, imo, of a player that has given us 100% every game he has ever played for us.

I think some of the reporting suggested Nrown’s management asked if they could explore options after we told them we wouldn’t extend past 2023…..and we just said yes. So not so much from our side but there side….What's the reason they couldn't simply have said, "We won't renew you past 2023?"
