Rumours and Stuff

It certainly is. Almost as meaningful as win rate, which is almost as meaningful as points differential.
So maybe go to those other two first because he's at 52% win rate in his stint there. Probably a bit better than the last guy. And it's not even four years and he's likely to break that 'pattern' this year. Like flipping a coin.

With BA he has had a solid career with us. I feel often that him taking us out of a dark period . We had spent 4yrs and no finals when he come along with wooden spoons. And BAs first 3 seasons where kind of forgotten about due to the salary cap thing.
2014 we almost made finals. We actualy should of.
2015 our million dollar player leaves us in a hole and we arent able to find a replacement.
2016 Salary cap

So of 9yrs we make finals 5 times after this seasons finished.
2014 was a stuff up and should of been 6yrs.
2016 we make it if didn't lose points would of been 7
2015 Hayne walks out prior to season kicking off after wining Dally M and being games best player.

Bar 2015 which we had excuses and 2018 which was a disaster we have been competitive and in the race 7/9 years for finals.

If Hayne was in the 2015 side we most likely end up in the race for top 8 yrs.

I can understand why management probably stick with him. They fear those 2010- 2013 days. And he has legit had some excuses

I see what you did there. You took a cheeky post by me where I was taking the piss on @hineyrulz ‘s 24/7 shit talking the club and flipping it to me being content with just being top 8. Which is total rubbish and only makes you and everyone who liked your post, look like fools.

What grates my gears is that there are half a dozen posters on this forum who can’t bring themselves to enjoy a win and anyone who does, gets criticised for accepting mediocrity.

News Flash: it’s quite normal to be supportive of a footy team in a dedicated footy fan forum. You guys are the outliers.

I reckon that some you have lost the love for the game and the club.

You are so focused on being a team that dominates the rest, that you can’t saviour those small moments of joy that supporting a team and going to the footy brings.

Yes you can be aspirational, but we’ve played some great footy this year and I doubt the die hard negative Nancys who particularly inhabit this thread, would admit that ever.

I hope some of you to get to enjoy your footy soon. 👍
Fella, you don’t know me and you have no idea how I feel about the club, other than what you read in black and white here.
I wasn’t responding to a post by you. I apologize if that’s disappointing.
I enjoy every win. In fact, even the ugly wins have me feeling better about life.
I dont agree with everything someone like @hineyrulz says, but I do agree with him that if we don’t win the title this year it’s time for a change of coach.
Just like I don’t agree with everything you say, but I do appreciate many of your posts.
What grates my gears as you put it, is wether we win, lose or draw, there are some who seem to feel that the club can do no wrong and after 9 years of the same coach and 36 years of not winning a title, we shouldn’t make any changes.
Just the same as I don’t like it when others can’t enjoy a win.
So buddy, thanks for taking the time to tell me what I think. But you have no idea.

Such Is the closeness of the competition, if we win the next 2 games at Commbank against Broncos & Penrith, we’re likely to find ourselves up into 3rd. But if we lose the following week against Manly at Brookie we’ll drop to 7th, and then 8th the following week if Souths get us again.

Whilst I think our top 8 position is safe, our shithouse F&A will likely cost a top 4 spot, and very possibly cost us a home final for finishing 5th/6th

The draw ahead is fascinating - for all clubs in contention.

If we can win 3 of our next 4 games, we will be creeping in on top 4 (even on points differential), with a real chance of top 3 if that form continues.

I actually have Souths missing the eight, and Raiders climbing up to take 7th spot...

SHOOSH

Which State of Origin star could be headed to Melbourne – and it’s not Tariq Sims. While denying any link, our mail is strong that this well-known forward may be heading to Bleak City from next season.

SHOOSH

A head coach has lost some of his lustre over the past year. Our man was once invincible but some players have been expressing concerns over his methods during the past 12 months.

SHOOSH

Which Sydney club is prepared to soothe a disgruntled player by signing one of his teammates - and flatmate - from a rival club.

SHOOSH

Expect some red hot headlines in coming weeks about a fallout between two star players at one club. It has been bubbling along for weeks with teammates well aware who is the chief protagonist.

My guesses:

Haas
Robinson - Roosters will be struggling to make the 8 this year, even with the desperate signing of Lodge
Luke Brooks' current housemate - sounds like it's for a club where the disgruntled player is already there?
Maybe Matterson and N Brown... ?
