Grandkids. I hear they're related.Just hard to see what he sees in Jake and what he offers as an injury cover

Drinkwater thanks can play halves if required as well.
Here is the fullback we need. Enter the Hammer. If he isn't worth the money Guth is on I'm an astronaut. See ya Guth
Cowboys feel cap squeeze
North Queensland’s surprising success this season has left the club facing a salary cap squeeze that could cost them one of their gun fullbacks — Scott Drinkwater or Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.
Drinkwater and Tabuai-Fidow are off contract at the end of 2023, meaning they are both able to sign with rival clubs from November 1.
Doesn't help the coach wants to play 28 year old plodders like Makatoa and basically block the path of young forward like Hollis and Greig. Our biggest issue is jnr development. Who have we produced in the last 3yrs who is a genuine top 17 NRL PLAYER in our side?
W.Penisni. And right now he is just a fringe NRL player with potential. It's the worse of any NRL CLUB.
Centre of excellence? It's the worse state I have seen our juniors
Lots to talk about today, but Hollis & Emu have never had their pathways blocked. Form should demand selection. Hence why Kye Rodwell has forced his way into top 19. Since his return from Injury, Ogden is in front on Emu.Doesn't help the coach wants to play 28 year old plodders like Makatoa and basically block the path of young forward like Hollis and Greig.
Hollis obviously won't make it here but after 5-6 years of nurturing him we went and signed makatoa who then got jump on him and hollis hasn't had a look in since.
Word is that Ciraldo has rejected the Dogs. Someone just mentioned it on the radio.
If form should demand selection, then how on earth is Makatoa ahead of Nrown?? Nrown's worst game is still better than anything Makatoa will/has ever produce/d....Lots to talk about today, but Hollis & Emu have never had their pathways blocked. Form should demand selection. I don’t particular want him I’m just reporting on interesting ‘stuff’lol, great source
some people hear what they want to hear

Yeah let's ignore the decision to force Nathan Brown out so we can sign <insert name of better player>.If form should demand selection, then how on earth is Makatoa ahead of Nrown?? Nrown's worst game is still better than anything Makatoa will/has ever produce/d....
I didn't see the footage that a few referred to of JA sitting alone in the dressing room last night, and maybe there's absolutely nothing in it, but I feel so sorry for that kid today. Getting boo'd by so-called home fans, getting 5 minutes game time when we're behind by 20. That sort of shit could break anyone. BA needs to take some blame here. From what we can gather, BA has also fostered an atmosphere of isolation and exclusion with Nrown also. Nrown stated after the Tigers game the coach basically hasn't spoken to him for a few weeks. That is unhealthy. No wonder the playing group look splintered.
Would anyone be surprised if Dylan Brown f**ked off out of this mess and signed elsewhere for 2024? That's the guy we should be giving the captaincy to and making our long term leader. Never shirks a challenge, is always the last one chasing.... Would lead by example IMO
What are you saying here exactly?? I legit don't know what you're inferring. Are you actually condoning the selection of a weaker team because the coach wants a certain player to crack the shits and sign elsewhere?? Are you condoning isolation and associated bullying tactics to get a player out of the club?? Let's not forget it was the club's decision to re-sign him until the end of 2023. Again, the club staff f**ked up, not NrownYeah let's ignore the decision to force Nathan Brown out so we can sign <insert name of better player>.
Whilst we had a job to do last night, we also have a roster to manage moving forward. Brown’s form has been average at best this year and his presence on the bench which offers equal or a marginal improvement to Makka would not have changed much. Nathan Brown’s benefit to the side used to be line speed and tough defence. I can't remember the last game he produced that. What are you saying here exactly?? The coach has neither the luxury nor the legitimate record of premiership success to be making decisions like that IMO and while ever there are lickspittles like you prepared to defend and the bloke, this team will continue to decline and not reach its full potential.
I'll say it again. Nrown's below par games are better than Makatoa's anover par games IMO. If we were talking about Rodwell instead of Makatoa here, then I'd almost (almost) be OK with it given Rodwell's age and potential. Makatoa is late 20's and as good as he's ever going to be. Ridiculous having him and another non-1st grade standard player on the bench. Absolute insanityWhilst we had a job to do last night, we also have a roster to manage moving forward. I posted a few weeks ago when he was selected that he seemed to be playing within himself and not hitting full stride. You'd think he would have tried to make a statement.
