Are you condoning isolation and associated bullying tactics to get a player out of the club?? Let's not forget it was the club's decision to re-sign him until the end of 2023. The coach has neither the luxury nor the legitimate record of premiership success to be making decisions like that IMO and while ever there are lickspittles like you prepared to defend the bloke, this team will continue to decline and not reach its full potential.

Its all moving deck chairs on the Titanic mate. Has been for years. Its the systems and staleness with the same old stuff. I feared this would happen last season when I predicted a 10th place finish but covid and those teams lower than us took longer to adapt than first thought. My heart tipped 6th this year but my head always had serious concerns. The game has changed and we refuse to keep pace. Do we go through another pre season hoping our approach will be different when we all know it wont? Players leaving is a strong indicator as well.
Write off this season and start the process of change immediately.
The mood in the stands is not positive.

It's more moving Gutho out of his position. He is stinking up the joint at the back. Id just as happily move Gutho to centre or NSW Cup and leave Brown at 6. Brown would still get a lot of touches at fullback.

For me, it’s for adding more speed at the back and giving Drown more freedom / space to use his best attribute, his running game (which is better then Gutho’s).

while I reckon Gutho is a better “play maker” then Drown (probably cause he is more experienced), which he can use in the halves.

Yeah I know. I was being cheeky. I think Dylan would be great at fullback and it would mean we could pay him $1m after we shop Gutho.

Extending the coach last year after failing yet again was a good business decision??? Sitting on our hands while the club continues to slide into the mire while coaching options are snapped up elsewhere are good business decisions???


I'd say continuing with the status quo and not doing a thing is the worse thing the club can do. Looks like the fans have had enough and soon they will be voting with their feet and wallets. We are what matters not some fair weather sponsors, we are the reason the club is the size it is not some coach, playing group, management or f**king sponsors.

JArthurs simply cannot defend at the NRL level (in the halves or anywhere)
Gutho could shuffle to the halves in case of emergency - could we pick a fullback on the bench?

Well, stats are not everything, but JA has a tackle efficiency in the NRL of about 89%, and similar stats in Reggies (where he plays full games). Obviously not a big sample (and with low minutes you don't get tired etc), but those are very acceptable for a half.

You could certainly pick Russel on the bench. The injury to Stone has made things tricky, coz ideally you want someone who sub into hooker (or have a utility already on the field who can do so).

I suspect Opacic will find his was back into the starting team to shore up the edge defense.

It wouldn't bother me if we happily packed his bags and send him to Belmore before the mid season transfer cut off date of August 1 so he can spend the last month of the season playing for a bottom 4 team.

And have Mitch Rein do the job in the final month.

Well the season being written off in the context of announcing change will happen and starting the process immediately. Given the way the players are currently responding to our coach it might indeed excite the players to perform.
