For a bloke who is still eligible for Flegg next year I'd say that means he is a promising youngster.

Yep that kid can play and I’m not sure how they’re going to keep Walsh, Niu and Cobbo all happy. I’ll throw in farnworth as well. Any of these guys would be upgrades on Gutho IMO and would be cheaper too.

The sin bin was a killer but otherwise I thought he was effective. He had to make 24 tackles in 70 minutes ffs.

Do you seriously think it is as simply as BA saying, "I'm gonna pick my son no matter what, no one will notice"? The problem is that we don't have too many other backup options in the halves who can defend in the NRL. We should have, but we don't.

JArthurs simply cannot defend at the NRL level (in the halves or anywhere)
Gutho could shuffle to the halves in case of emergency - could we pick a fullback on the bench?

To undercut what I have just said, it is kind of pointless having a guy sit on the bench all season, better by far if they get some time in reserves... so BAs shuffle policy with that 17th man is kind of understandable. Just hard to see what he sees in Jake and what he offers as an injury cover

I don't think we will make the top 8. We need to win 3/6 I reckon and if Canberra go on a run even that may not be enough.
I had us winning 3/7 and that included winning last night. I can see us winning against Dogs and Storm. But I also see Canberra going on a possible run. With Penrith and Manly away next then Souths. Then up to Brisbane ,Dogs and Storm. I would have us favourites in only one game and that's against the Dogs.
