Of all 16 teams 2 haven't one winger in top 17 they developed.
We are one of those teams along with Warriors.

Sharks,Penrith,Cowboys,Brisbane,St George,Souths all developed both. So 6/16 developed both.

To break it down there 20/32 starting wingers have been developed by their club they now play for. That's 62.5%

We don't have one of those 20 currently.
If you are going to put shit on the club, please try and be accurate.

Only one of the starting wingers in tonights Dragons v Manly game debuted for the club they are playing for and that is Feagai at the Dragons.
Saab was developed by the Dragons but moved to Manly.
Moga and Tuipolutu are both former Roosters.

Connor Tracey for the Sharks debuted at the Bunnies.
I am sure there is more but I cant be bothered...

I'm confident Simmonson is dropped for the next week. Blake return to wing and Opacic in.
Rein on bench for JA

BROWN also in.
Whilst I agree with those changes, they seem entirely fanciful. Only one I can actually see happening is Rein on the bench for JA

Katoa is injured
Ravalva is injured
Garrick plays wing doesn't he when Turbo is fit?

Anyhows if your happy with our development that's great. I reckon it is terrible. In our backine we have developed Penisini who is perhaps not even ready for week in week out NRL.

You have to also wonder why we went to the Central Coast. We had just won two games so our season was back on track kind of. Had we won last night we'd be talking possible top 4 charge.

When I first read about the trip away I thought this is odd. I then thought that BA is trying to ease some friction/heat between players and needed to have a bonding session on a personal level with the team. It didn't see, right.

This is all suspicion but certainly possible the squads divided.
All that money on transport, food and accomodation could have provided another couple of portable spas in the demountables ffs!

We drafted in Simsonplod on a 3 year deal lol. I reckon Russell is already a better footballer.

I’m not blaming the players. They have their shortfalls but are doing their best. Just like the coach.
You have often stated that the reason we don’t compete is because of the players ability. Whether they’re trying their best or not, you’re still attributing the loss to the players.

Im also sure you’ve criticised their attitude plenty of times. That doesn’t lead me to believe you think they’re doing their best.

Dunno mate, which is why I’m not pointing the finger.
Precisely. You can’t even mount a reasonable argument the risk of moving on from BA or a lot of players is less than unknown risk of whoever would replace them. By itself, that’s not good, but when you add in results trend, the calculations of us even just sustaining our current success is diminished.
This year has been a less extreme version of 2018. Which is maybe the team’s one saving grace that they reversed that in 2019 to a degree. But that doesn’t mean they should automatically be given additional time to correct this year either

So if the players are doing their best, and the coach is doing his best, and we primarily have the same team this year as we did last year, why was our for and against for the first 19 rounds last year +220 and for the last 27 games in the last 12 months it is -88?

Why was roughly the same group of players, with the same coach, the 3rd best defensive team in the comp for the last two years, now the 11th best defensive team in the comp?
Teams stopped taking us lightly.

We have Dunster. We are also one of the few clubs that had both starting halves (and perfect backup) play in our Harold Matts team.

Does that count?

And just because I call you out on something doesnt mean I disagree.
We should be developing more players for sure.

Well some clubs have better players and some have better coaches than us. It doesn’t mean I’m blaming them.

I think every group of players deserve criticism of their attitude at times. Nobody can be up every week. I think we also lack leadership in the playing group. Again, that’s not a criticism of the leaders we do have any more than it’s a criticism of our fastest players to say that we’re quite slow as a team.

But the difference between you and most of us here is that you don’t want to do anything about it. We’ve had turnover of players and we’re still no closer to a premiership. It’s time to go in another direction with our coach (as well as the player turnover we’re already going to have next year and future years).
