Close enough. Sign him up.
You don't think the culture has changed? How can you say it's got nothing to do with Watmough? Arthur refused to pay overs for Hayne so why would he pay huge money for Watmough if he didn't expect to get more than playing ability from him? Arthur spent a year at Manly, plus all those years at Melbourne. He knows what's required at a strong club, and it is leadership in the playing group. That's why he signed Watmough and Foran.Didnt watmough change the whole culture of our club?
And have a pre-existing injury (so say the insurance company ).How the f**k can a retired player just turn up to training and expect to be paid?
We were all more than happy to try and use him to rectify our cap situation 7 months ago ... but now f**k him, hey?

Such a shame. However I understand where we are coming from. While he only has two games to his name, Ponga is regarded by the game’s best recruiters as a future international and the hottest youngster on the market.
Wanting to have his future sorted before the 2017 kicks off, Market Watchunderstands a shortlist has been comprised which features four clubs who are genuine chances of landing his signature. Parramatta isn’t on it.
Eels officials told foxsports.com.au last week that they weren’t pursuing the teenager.

So Watmough after playing 17 games expects to be paid for 4 seasons???
Lol he's kidding himself, it's bad enough he got paid out for next year as well. What leadership he is showing right here, he came for the cash and the extra couple of years we offered instead of Manly. f**k off back to the Northern Shore you Mongly f**kwit.
The media talking sense for once about our recruiting. Ponga and Barba are fullbacks, and we're committed to Bevan French. Our money needs to go to a legitimate halfback option.
Let's get him anyway. Keep French on his toes. The media talking sense for once about our recruiting. Ponga and Barba are fullbacks, and we're committed to Bevan French. Our money needs to go to a legitimate halfback option.
I don't expect a new halfback for 2017 but for 2018. Gutherson is a good footballer but I can't see how he can overcome the lack of years of experience the good halves have. Norman's kicking game is his weakness (on the field anyway). We will have the worst kicking game in the NRL next year.I reckon we would be crazy to spend big on a half right now, think we need to wait a bit and see how our current options perform.
We already have Norman who isn't that far from a top line half now. We have Gutherson who has potential.
And we have a bunch of younger options (fog, Dargan , Barnes) who could all have "break out" years.
Probably best to wait to see how those options go before paying overs for an outsider.
Also if all the options do fail, our backs / forward along with Norman are good enough to get us more wins then loses anyway in 2017.
