One issue with our current front rowers -
None are capable of giving a MOM performance. All can chip in and play a role. When I look at the dogs I think Graheme and Klemmer can put in that effort that wins you a game. Or at the sharks fifita. We still will lack that.
Of our forwards only Manu or KE is able to turn in a performance to get a MOM. Otherwise its left up to our backs.
Is this a problem if they all chip in ? Perhaps not but it is nice to have a front rower who just punishes the opposition. Its one of my concerns this season.
Brown won at least one MOTM this season. IIRC. Maybe two

There's two 'types' of Sudafed (and similar brands). One has phenyleprhine in it, and basically doesn't work. You can get Sudafed with real pseudoephedrine in it, but the pharmacist is supposed to take you name / id and cross-reference with recent other purchases in case you are setting up a meth lab.
All you need to do (well at my local pharmacy at least) is say you want something that works (don't mention it has to have pseudo in it) and they will get the pseudo one off the shelf and don't ask for the drivers licence. Happy days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends where you are. I had to buy some while visiting my folks house up near the Sunshine Coast.....it took about 15 minutes. Partly b/c they kept checking that 'you're not the Barry O'Speedwagon that used live at 23 XYZ St are you?' It's a problem having such a common name.

I always get the proper pseudoephedrine tablets, they work a treat. I always go to the same chemist, have been for years. They take my licence but it's never been an issue. Incidentally, if you're ever in Bali you can get them over the counter. They're called Procold and cost about $2 a pack. I bought heaps and brought them home.

That's not really how we play, though.

But Pritchard, Matagi and Vave all fit the bill you're talking about.

Be very careful if you ever buy a heap and travel through places like Dubai.

Anthony Watmough prepared to do ‘whatever it takes’ to secure contract money from Parramatta

ANTHONY Watmough’s pay dispute with Parramatta is set to escalate with the retired forward considering turning up to training in a bid to receive his owed money.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal Watmough has threatened to go through with his vow to train with the Eels to recoup contract money for 2018, despite being forced into retirement with a knee injury.

Watmough had a playing option in his favour for 2018 but the Eels baulked at paying him because, due to a chronic knee injury, he could not play.

Parramatta have paid the former Test and Origin star in full for the 2016 and 2017 seasons but they don’t believe they should pay him for the 2018 season as it is an option year.

“(The option to play) was in his favour but the terms could not be performed,” Eels administrator Max Donnelly previously said.

“It’s not like he can exercise his option to play. He can’t play.”

The Eels have since changed their mindset slightly, revealing they are willing to partially pay Watmough’s 2018 deal but won’t front the entire amount.

This plan is yet to be presented to Watmough’s management, who have started a $1.2 million legal showdown with Parramatta over a payout.

The Eels offered to pay part of Watmough’s deal for 2018 but it was rejected by his management.

Parramatta have since taken the 2018 offer off the table.

This comes as sources have said Watmough will do “whatever it takes” to secure his contract money.

It’s understood the veteran forward hasn’t been paid by Parramatta since September and while his management would like to finalise a mutual payout, they will consider all options.

Watmough has also told close friends he will challenge Parramatta’s bid, even if it means returning to training in order to force the Eels to pay him.

That would be catastrophic for the Eels and the NRL’s controversial career-ending insurance scheme, as Watmough’s remaining 2017 and 2018 contract money would then be added to the club’s salary cap.

Watmough was forced into premature retirement this season with a debilitating knee injury, just 12 months into his four-year deal with the Eels, worth around $750,000 a season.

He was in shock when he discovered Parramatta is attempting to operate outside the Collective Bargaining Agreement by offering him a reduced figure, ‘significantly less’ than the value of his $1.2 million contract.

The Eels have been forced to cover the seven-figure sum after QBE rejected any insurance payout by deeming Watmough’s injury as pre-existing.

It’s resulted in a tense legal battle, which is expected to continue for some time to come.

Empty threat, surely with the NRL giving him a medical retirement he would need to be registered again and good luck getting that when you were medically retired

Piss off Watmough. An option is just that - it's not part of a contract entitlement, unless it's taken up.

Threaten all you like, but if you are not fully fit to perform at first grade for 26-30 rounds in 2018 - after you've been medically retired, and we've paid you to sit on your arse for the entire 2016 and 2017 - then you're just talking through your arse to try and grab some cash you're not entitled to.

People say Foran was one of our worse buys ever? This guy is trying to gouge us and gave us next to nothing. Wicks gave us more than Watmough at a fraction of the price.
