I am not comparing Cleary to Moses. All I am saying is all halves can look ordinary if his team is playing like crap.

A huge difference though with the Panthers is that if Cleary does decide to take it upon himself to spark the team up if they are playing below par, the Panthers are such a well drilled team that all he has to do is start to voice his intention and authority and demand curtain plays and or ball and the rest of them will quickly fall into shape and structure like auto pilot. They have the game plan.

We only have one style and that is plow forward and win the collision. If that isn't happening, then the players including Moses wouldn't have a clue what else to do. We have one game plan. There is no plan B. If we aren't dominating for whatever reason, don't expect Moses or anyone else to go outside of structure with any great success. It just won't happen unless the other team start to falter themselves and allow us to regain the ascendency.

We are cooked. Our big powerful players are burnt out and now losing the collision more often then not, with the occasional spritely moment here and there. I warned everyone that this was going to happen and I am amazed that it has taken around 2 and a bit seasons to finally be plainly obvious. The writing was on the wall mid to late last season when we had that woeful dip in form, but recovered in the semis enough to put up a fight against a very ordinary NC and a very decent showing against the Panthers.

I feel though if we had beaten the Panthers in that game we would have been cooked for the next game and got hammered.

But take it from me, the robotic no frills footy that we play and could put the energizer bunny to sleep, has claimed it biggest scalp...us.

The coach now must sound like Charlie Browns teacher and driving many of the players insane. All the players are getting from our coach now is tension and pressure and as a club we have rarely reacted well to that. Add the massive expectation of a premiership window from fans and the media and it will only get worse as the losses start to pile up.

We are done.

The question I am now eagerly waiting to see answered is what the 'F' are our club's overlords going to do about it and in particular are they going to do what we all know is well and truly overdue quickly enough to minimise any further damage and while we are still considered, to the better applicants, an attractive proposition?

Something tells me it is going to be a well drawn out and messy soap opera that we can't afford to have.
Nah we'll be okay. We go well when we're desperate.

I should head out to our training more. I’m interested to see what we actually do on that field, leadership wise.
I get the feeling it’s not a problem there, when it probably should be. It’s been suggested here before that lack of “leadership” isn’t necessarily the problem, but a lack of followers. Players who think they know better (and maybe they do) but aren’t brave enough to put that to the side for the better of the team.

It might not be moses but he's instructed to play that way

Ba always says to play the long game. Tough it out, kick to corners and wait for your time and that's what moses does

You know it's time for the coach to go when opposition supporters who have been big BA fans say his time is done.
Even they can now see its almost untenable. If we finish low top 8 or miss it altogether the board has an easy decision to make.
He has another year if he gets us top 4 or goes minimum week 3 of the semis. Both of these options look very slim at the moment

The only people dumber than both of the above are those who continuously back the coach who has delivered sweet FA

Only people dumber are the people who ignorantly assume others back the coach, when in actual fact they are providing plausible arguments. These arguments show that giving the current coach the arse without a suitable, better and available replacement, may not guarantee anymore success than what we have now.

They are often rational and intelligent people who understand that the better use and improvement of resources have far more benefit than booting the bloke with the clipboard every other year.

We are 2 points out of the top 4 FFS and still have 6 games left. Where we are at as a team will be more accurate in round 25 then round 19. And even more accurate at the conclusion of the season - whenever that may be.

The way we play as a whole is the problem, not just Moses's game.

We have gone through this in much detail over the last 3 seasons in particular. The coach is limited and I warned that the burnout was going to happen. No team can just keep playing the collision game season on season without major turnover in personnel to keep them fresh without negative ramifications.

The coach is a one trick pony and he can't even get the defense right in all the time his been here. This squad individually is more then capable of winning the title if they were coached the right way. To late now, we will need to start again.

It is at this point impossible to know which players have been burnt out to the point of not ever being able to reach a high quality effort for long periods of time consistently again. We will only know this when the new coach comes in and the rebuild starts. That is why we need to be smart and know that our goose is cooked and make a brazen and audacious play for Suaalii now and give Gutho the kick in the head he deserves if we can get him. It doesn't matter if we don't know who the new coach is. No coach will be upset that we speared Gutho for Suaalii. In fact the new coach whoever he is will think he won the lottery.

Whoever the new coach is I hope he is a disciple of defense, starting at the ruck and line speed and he can build his squad around that.

I'm sick to death of what we have been dishing up, well forever.

Thanks scoop. In case you haven't realised it's been 9 years. You have completely missed the point. Opposition supporters don't give 2 effs about other coaches but when they acknowledge and understand all is not well with the Jekyll and Hyde side we have it doesn't take much intelligence to realise clearly there is a problem.
I sincerely hope we do make top 4 because I'm am extremely passionate supporter. Supporter for 40+ years and a season ticket holder for 23 years..I'm also a realist..so don't come at me with ur BS
